  1. Hi @Jake, the cruise lines don't usually offer compensation for these type of things. I would be a little annoyed at that too, especially if they were features I was looking forward to enjoying.
  2. Hi @ms white, It's a new temporary policy all the cruise lines are doing. kind of came from nowhere so understand how annoyed you are. Hopefully, won't remain in place for too long.
  3. @Susan, Most cruises are operating as normal, and that has been the case since the Summer, so just go and enjoy!
  4. There was a news post on Norwegian Cruise Line changing pre-cruise testing from January 17, 2022. Wonder why they decided to backtrack?
  5. Hey @Frank, Yes, there are cases on Anthem of the Seas. The CDC has already investigated and the ship is currently under observation.
  6. Hi @Pat drew, it's all so fluid right now, who knows what the governments will decide by that time. Just expect changes and don;t forget to make sure you do don't miss out on any cancellation fees.
  7. @Aruba bound, that sounds amazing! And Wonder of the Seas sure is going to be a ship to remember! You'll have to let us know how it all goes on Odyssey too.
  8. Hi @Ready2cruise, For Carnival Panorama, is mainly due to there being some COVID cases onboard. If there are no case on Carnival Miracle then it should be fine. Also, Carnival may have come up with a resolution with Cabo authorities. Hopefully, should all be fine.
  9. Hi @Ed Colson, a pleasure to help. I also enjoy the business channels, I do like watching CNBC and wish they had that on the ships. Glad you enjoyed the Carnival Panorama, one of the newest ships and plenty to do!
  10. I've heard Carnival is sailing at an increased capacity now. The cruise line doesn't release this information so it really depends by each ship and sailing.
  11. Hi @Mary, it all remains all very fluid and with the variant running around, who knows what's going to happen. May is still a long way off and no doubt protocols are going to change multiple times before then. It's best just to hang tight and keep an eye on any new developments through early 2022.
  12. @Pat and Steve Levee, I guess we're going to have to see what happens, it all remains very fluid. It's good to keep an eye on the ship status from the CDC too.
  13. So Royal Caribbean announced on Wednesday that the new Wonder of the Seas will begin sailing from port Canaveral in November 2022! The full article can be read here: https://www.cruisehive.com/royal-caribbeans-wonder-of-the-seas-to-sail-from-port-canaveral-in-2022/61652 What does everyone think about this?
  14. Hi @Ed Colson, thanks for posting! I'm pretty sure they have one of the main 24 hour news channel but not one of the dedicated business channels.
  15. Hi @Rick, that's way too early to know. It all remains very fluid and could be increased or lowered before that time.
  16. Hi @Marty, That's a real shame they only let you get off at a certain time. Was it staggered or something? Must be related to the authorities.
  17. Hi @Zaid, Did you check in your booking details after logging in on the Carnival website?
  18. Hi @Mcc, sorry for the late reply, did you find out in the end? When is the cruise?

    Grand Cayman

Hi @Donald, It's all very fluid with Grand Cayman, but there is hope that the island will begin to reopen soon. It was recently announced that the first cruise ship will visit the port on December 28, 2021. However, it doesn't mean all cruise ships are going to start sailing there. It seems to be just a one off agreement between the cruise line and Cayman authorities. More details here: First Cruise Ship Given Permission to Return to Grand Cayman in December (cruisehive.com)
  20. It sure is difficult for many cruisers at the moment, especially with ongoing cancellations, itinerary changes and very long waiting times for customer service calls. Let's just hope as we go into 2022, the situation gets better and there will be more stability in cruising.
  21. Hey @sgflorida, to be honest, I would book through Royal Caribbean no matter what, especially during these unpredictable times. The cruise line will be working with the authorities and no doubt they include tours approved by the government. If there is any adjustment to the voyage or the port of call is cancelled, you know you are protected when booking through the cruise line.
  22. Hi @Avicat, welcome to the new boards and thanks for posting! Oh no, I hope they managed to resolve the bad sound since your experience. Did it all sound muffled and distorted?
  23. Hi @Li da W., if the cruise is shortened then there will be something offered for sure. Do you mean in 2022 the cruise is departing?
  24. Hi @IRISHCHARM13, thanks for posting and welcome to the new boards. I'm guessing you're booked on that sailing? It should be a good one as the Carnival Sunshine will be fresh after her dry dock.
