  1. Hi @Scott, thanks for posting on the new boards. I've just spoken to someone who knows that ship (a crew member) and apparently cabin 5346 is one of the new cabins added at the aft. These cabins are where the aft lounge used to be so nobody has yet experienced them to know what they are like. When is your cruise? Maybe someone will know before your voyage. I'm not aware of any sun heat, smoke or mist issues, maybe someone else will know that. Also, haven't seen much chatter online about any of those things.
  2. Just checking the list today and no major Caribbean cruise destinations added to the level 4 list. Singapore is the latest since October 18.
  3. Hi @Jeff, welcome to the new boards! Looks like they've just updated their vaccine requirements following Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line. This is what applies to MSC Cruises for sailings to the Bahamas and the Caribbean:
  4. Hi @OtwayRanges, I think knowing which cruise director is on the ship can make or break a cruise for many guests. Personally for me, it doesn't matter.
  5. Hi @Connie, Yep it sure is. It's included in the Carnival protocols, along with a few other acceptable tests. But, only if you're fully vaccinated.
  6. Hi @DawnPrincess, welcome to the new boards and thanks for posting! Not sure if you're aware, but Royal Caribbean now offers testing at the terminal before embarkation only for those who really need it. I'm not sure on the specifics for each embarkation port but Fort Lauderdale in included. The details are here: What if I don't find a pre-cruise COVID-19 test, or my test results? | Royal Caribbean Cruises
  7. Norwegian Bliss will be the next ship in the fleet to restart on October 24 out of Los Angeles. The vessel will operate cruises to the Mexican Riviera. You can also check which ships have already restarted here: Which Norwegian Cruise Line Ships Have Restarted? (cruisehive.com)
  8. Did anyone see the post from Royal Caribbean CEO Michael Bayley yesterday? He said "Get ready for some big news. We’ve got an announcement on the horizon. Stay tuned! What do you think it could be??
  9. Yep, it's getting silly now really. Cruises are safe to resume as proved by other countries. it's time!
  10. Hi @Irene, that's a great question as everyone would also like to know. there is still no pathway on resuming cruises down under so who know! Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line have already cancelled cruises into 2022. Here's the latest so far from Princess Cruises: Cancelled Cruises From Australia Through December 2021 (princess.com)
  11. Hi @Scp101, thanks for posting and welcome to the new boards! That's too far out to know. The protocols are changing all the time and by then, the satiation may be totally different to now. I would wait closer to the time.
  12. HI @Adam, I just checked the Carnival Protocols for you and found this:
  13. At the moment, it's not going over 70%. I head that too, with ships sailing way under that capacity.
  14. Hi @Annie, I think it will all end up just fine. Just keep checking any official updates from NCL.
  15. All those burgers and chocolate melting cakes! That's what's it all about!
  16. Hey @Greg K, Thanks for posting on the new boards. At the moment it all looks ok and cruise are still scheduled to visit and depart the island. You should be all good.

    Port Canaveral

Hi @Pam, thanks for your post. Mariner of the Seas which is operated by Royal Caribbean restarted operations from Port Canaveral on August 23, 2021. This should help: 13 Royal Caribbean Ships Have Resumed as Mariner of the Seas Restarts From Port Canaveral (cruisehive.com) Plan on booking a cruise?
  18. Hi @Donna, thanks so much for posting! No changes on cruises from Florida at the moment. Seems to be all set to go for November 20. Do make sure to keep checking for any official communications from Royal Caribbean though. Itinerary looks great!
  19. Hi @Nadine, thanks so much for your post. Hopefully not! Let's hope it ends some time in 2022.

    Mike

Hi @Mike, Yes, just bring those results with you. They will ask to see before allowing you on the cruise.
  21. He's always an interesting watch when he is on CNBC! He's calmed slightly since cruises have restarted but might get more vocal again now that Florida is fighting back on the vaccine passport front.
  22. Hi @Shirley Smith, welcome to the new boards and thanks so much for posting! Carnival Cruise Line is still scheduled to be sailing from Galveston through November and well after that. Carnival Breeze, Carnival Vista and Carnival Dream are all operating from the port now. The COVID testing is the same with a negative test within two days before departure, which can be with a home test kit, a test site or pharmacy. You can find all the protocols right here: Have Fun. Be Safe. | COVID-19 Guest Protocols | Carnival Cruise Line Cruise ships are pretty safe to be honest, and the protocols in place are working. Carnival does have a cancellation policy here: Refund and Cancellation Policy for COVID-19 | Carnival Cruise Lines I hope that all helps for you Shirley. Do keep checking all the details from Carnival if you are cruising just in case anything changes.
  23. I wonder which one will be next. Don't think there are many left! Will also be interesting to see if the CDC Conditional Sailing Order will be extended or not at the end of the month.
  24. That does sound annoying. You could try contacting them about this. If the lines are busy, could also try getting in touch with them via social media. Hopefully, the issues are resolved closer to the departure date.
