  1. Relaxing in the morning with a good breakfast inside you looking at the views. Then a quick game of golf with the perfect weather and course. Join up with everyone for a few drinks and a catch up and then finish off for a good meal with the family before relaxing again.
  2. It's very frustrating that all these cruise ships are constantly changing itineraries. I'm not even going on them and I'm getting angry seeing all these changes.
  3. What exactly do you get with the zenith perks? How much more is it and more importantly, is it worth the money?
  4. She looks like a beautiful ship. It caught my eye just seeing the photo. The amazing engineering that goes into designing these ships are just breathtaking. What a gorgeous looking ship.
  5. Thank you @Kendall James-Vargas. Great insight there and I will begin suggesting some ships to my wife, who will pretend that I'm involved in the decision making and then ultimately decide which one she wants anyway.
  6. @LukeJ I totally agree with you about the price of the cruises. It's taken us two years to save up for our next cruise. Even though we are excited, it's a lot of money, something I dread handing over ha ha. So to scrimp and save to go onboard, I would love myself and my family feel like its all been worth the sacrifice.
  7. I won't be using the solariums, and each to their own. But I do like the idea that it's adults only. We all deserve a peaceful time as well as family time.
  8. @Chvajcin really sorry to hear of your experience. It does sound like a headache, and personally I would have hated to have been in a situation like that. Also, like I've said in the past, nobody cares anymore about how they treat their customers. The pride has gone, customer service is none existent. All companies want to do these days is charge you for more by offering less.
  9. @Dominic O. Cruz they hiring young these days.. it's really hard work being on the waiting side. Even more so on cruises I would have guessed. I would love to have known what it would be like to work on the ships. I've known a few friends that have done so, and enjoyed themselves immensely. Maybe in another life I will give it a go.
  10. I've heard such good things about Venice. To me it looks old though, maybe that's the appeal I don't know. And a few have told me that there is a smell to the place, again I don't know about that. I wouldn't have thought it would put me off from visiting.
  11. I would love to visit Japan and experience the Asian atmosphere myself. I'm surprised to hear about the Diamond Princess, was it that bad? I can understand it being off putting if it looks old, however surely it wasn't that bad to ruin your vacation?
  12. @euroguy nothing wrong with that, my family and friends had farms and I would help them out throughout. I prefer that to the hustle of the busy day in the city. I think everyone should have the opportunity to see what it's like in the country.
  13. I've never been, but I've looked at the photos and it looks like heaven. I tend to agree with @LukeJ, the idea of having an adults only vacation helps sell it even more imo.
  14. Wow. Jerusalem is never a place I'd even think about visiting. I've read many excellent reviews, but when deciding where to go, it always tends to be more mainstream vacations you think about than places like Jerusalem. I'd be interested in hearing your views on such a place.
  15. Personally I'd look forward to going on excursions and trips than sitting down on the sun lounger all day. I can understand why some people like to chill and enjoy the laziness of the day after working hard all year, but I tend to get bored with that and have a good walkabout.
  16. My wife as ever always looking ahead for vacations even before we have gone on the next one. She had suggested going onboard an MSC cruise, but didn't know which was the best one for us. We have a young child, so after trying to research, thought it best to ask on here for people's advice and experience.
  17. I can see why some passengers stuck to the one cruise ship. It's been said that you need to move around and oversee all experiences, however if you're happy with a ship, then at least you know what to expect.
  18. There should be a rule where city slickers should spend time off grid to appreciate what it would be like to harmonise more with nature and try another side of life.
  19. That's true, we tend to read more.about the negative side of things. Hundreds of thousands could thoroughly enjoy their time and we wouldn't get to know about it. A minority have a bad time, and that's what we get to hear.
  20. Never been to Japan. It looks such a mad country, very busy. For cultural purposes and it's food, I'd love to go however and try it out. It's like another world from where I'm from.

I guess it all depends on the people that you are with on vacation too. If it's a family vacation, then maybe excursions and fun games is the way forward. However, if you are chilling with a partner or on your own, you can go for more of the relaxing and drinking vacation with a spot of sightseeing.
  22. I can see and admit we are guilty of perceiving the cruise passengers. A small selfish minority of people tars the reputation of others. They tend to spoil the vacation of everyone by just their attitude and the way they let their children do what they want, and disregard everyone else.
  23. @LukeJ there will be rental charge for water on your tables. Water will be free, but the price will be on the glass that it holds. Room service I can see being added with a daily fee. Sun decks will have a daily rate before long. Once they do one, the rest will follow.
  24. Fantastic idea. Why don't you write your suggestions and views to the cruise lines and see what response you get from them? They may think it's a good point of view too and put steps into changing that idea.
  25. Glad to see the free cookies continue. As long as there is people who strongly believe against companies giving away any privileges, then I can't see cruise lines doing anything that causes backlashes
