  1. @LukeJ yeah that is a funny one, made me laugh. That would be something I would definitely go for too. @Kendall James-Vargas personally I've never heard of any of those names before. I haven't seen or come across an advert for them. We don't tend to have many big brands in the UK, just a good handful that dominate the country.
  2. Those stats are shocking. I had a friend that took his own life, not on a cruise, but it came as a massive shock. We had no idea he was struggling, and I saw him that morning and had a good time with him, and by the evening, we were told he went missing and we went looking for him. We always encourage people to speak out, and I've always read that sometimes there are telling tale signs, but there was nothing with him. To this day, I don't know what happened that made him decide to do it. It still confuses me to this day.
  3. @3Sisters it's worrying isn't it, while all you want me to do is not wake up the following morning and feel like you're dying, and people alongside you feel as you have to drink to have a good time. Whenever I go out, I sometimes volunteer myself as the designated driver, and then they can't say anything untoward. But then again why should they, why can't people just allow others to drink whatever they want without judgement. It's all peer pressure, and I find myself drinking less and less these days.
  4. @LukeJ I love these type of company names. It makes me want to deal specifically to them. I saw a burger and kebab van once called "Jason Donervan". I thought it was so funny, I actually went over and bought a burger, even though I had lunch. I saw Floral and Hardy, a wine restaurant "Planet of the Grapes". I think they are outstanding.
  5. When on vacation, I do indulge in drinks. I don't drink enough to get drunk per say, just enough to help me relax and enjoy
  6. I agree with @LukeJ, what is wrong with people these days. How can you find that entertaining, injuring and innocent animal like that. I've noticed that the first instinct on people's mind is spite, and not be happy to allow people or things just to continue living the way they want.

I remember those days. Enjoyed myself immensely too. You felt freedom at that stage.
  8. @LukeJ i'm sure there are good names you can think of, but there are also some cracking names out there already. A few that make me laugh is "Passmore Gas and Propane", "Stubbs prosthetics", "Thai tanic" to name but a few.
  9. Where I come from, quiz is a very popular event. You will be lucky to get a seat if you're not there early enough. People love a competitive event, and it gives you a chance to have a good think.
  10. I'm sure they had this issue before. It's such a lovely part of the world, I do enjoy my days in Spain. The food in particular I love. I'd be one of these Brits that would move to Spain in a heartbeat and live out the remainder of my life in a place in the sun. What a dream that would be.
  11. Yeah there are Enterprise branch based very close to the port. I do like Southampton and I'm sure you will enjoy the city as there are plenty of things to do. Hope you enjoy yourself and let us know how you get on and where you went.

Most of the European countries, the drinking age is 18, however a couple you can get served at 16 years of age. I can't speak for the rest of the countries, but in the UK, there is a law, very rarely used, with the drinking age of 18, if a 16 year old is having a meal with his parents, they are permitted to either a small glass of wine or a cider. But it's hardly heard of and never acted upon really in restaurants, but a little loophole for anyone wanting to try it.

Wow, free room service. That is very rare. I bet the crew members onboard really love that incentive. I cannot imagine how many people would not be using that service if it's free. Poor chefs and maids rushed off their feet while the run around to 70% of the passengers who would like breakfast in bed.
  14. Being from the UK, I've never heard of Blue Bunny before. I have heard of Ben and Jerry's, personally I can't stand the stuff, but at least it's a common brand. Bunny tracker made me laugh, sounds like a Bounty Hunter on a mission.
  15. I'm with you. It's embarrassing to see sometimes. Fortunately if it gets to the point of no return, you can just get up and leave and go somewhere else where there is better entertainment. The beauty of cruise ships is you can go anywhere you want .
