  1. Great advise @Mark Morel, thanks for posting!
  2. Hey @Jim Lamb, I wonder why they had to change the terminal! We've reported a few times about this for different ships and passengers are usually informed before the cruise, so must have been a last-minute change. Sorry you had to go through that, doesn't make a good experience at all. I would also not enjoy being on bus like that. How was the actual cruise?
  3. Hey @HuliHuli, No bots here! Just a growing boards, and new users coming. I know on Carnival, they allow some crew to enjoy the guest areas, but only at certain times when those areas are not so busy. The crew also have to allow guests to go ahead in front of them, when there is a line. Sea days are often a no go for the crew in guest areas, as the ship is usually busier. Would have been better for NCL to just add some limitations like that instead. I do think the crew deserve to enjoy the guest areas too, especially as they can't all go ashore so much. It's all about timing it right, so it doesn't put more strain on guest services.
  4. Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I hope you have a nice day and thanks for being members of the Cruise Hive Boards!
  5. I do think that lines such as Princess Cruises still need to construct smaller ships, not everyone likes those huge mega-ships. I like what Norwegian did with their Prima-class, which has a lower gross tonnage.
  6. Hey @lyle gary How did the boarding go in the end?
  7. @sammy10 I guess the local authorities are not requiring cruise ships to do testing. If the authorities alter their rules, then Princess cruises would have to follow no doubt.
  8. Hey @Patti, thanks for posting! There might be some helpful details here, especially when you're in Southampton: UK Ports Archives - Cruise Hive
  9. I think it depends where the ship is heading as I've heard of some guests having it confiscated. It's best to check with your cruise line directly to double check.
  10. @FJB, fingers crossed for you! I don't think the protocols will return, especially now that the CDC is out of the picture.
  11. The future Sun Princess does look good, I'm very excited to see what other details Princess Cruises will release. I'm sure we'll hear more over the coming months.
  12. Hey @joe, maybe you could let us know what issues you came across and what happened?
  13. I don't think Carnival Cruise line has ever been as good as other major cruise lines when it comes to some of the lido dining options. However, I do like their steakhouse, one of the best I've had! It is a tricky situation for sure with all the food waste, especially when it comes to room service. Hopefully, they'll get a handle on things as the cruise industry returns to some normality.
  14. So the big news today is that Royal Caribbean finally unveiled Icon of the Seas. Just wondering what everyone thinks of the new class vessel? By the way, she will be 250,800 gross tons, making her the largest cruise ship in the world, when she debuts.
  15. Thanks for providing those details @Mark Chance
  16. Pretty sure the cruise line will soon drop all requirements, following Norwegian Cruise Line.
  17. Hey @CruiseKing, thanks so much for posting! Cruise line don't typically reveal the capacity of each vessel, but I'm sure any guests currently onboard can have a rough feeling if it's full or not.
  18. Any type of cabin will do me, as long as it's on a cruise ship! 😂
  19. So who is watching The Real Love Boat on CBS? I guess you have to enjoy reality TV to enjoy it, which is being filmed on an actual Princess cruise ship!
  20. @Margaret Scott, @A Stark and @LindaPG, even more cruises have cancelled since then. Some have even shifted back to the Caribbean. Might be a good time to forget cruising that region, especially if they include a certain country.
  21. It's gradually getting back to normal! https://www.cruisehive.com/cruise-lines-react-to-canada-easing-protocols/82609
  22. Try to keep to your assigned time. There is a chance they might not let you in the terminal , and then you're stuck waiting outside for ages.
  23. Don't think I could survive without internet access! However, it would be nice just to forget about it all for a cruise!
  24. You can check the app too to see which excursions are available for your specific cruise.
  25. Hi @Hopeful, doesn't seem to be any itinerary changes so far, but that could change at any time. Currently, the Royal Caribbean cruise ships that have changes are Allure of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. You can check all the details on those ships here: Multiple Cruise Ship Itinerary Changes as Hurricane Ian Aims for Florida (cruisehive.com)
