  1. Some people! That’s the world Walmart created by saying the customer is always right. Don’t expect that in my retail store!
  2. From sun exposure to cell phone use - I’m having a difficult time threading this needle. Concerning cell phones on ships - mine normally stays in the safe, free Wi-Fi or not. I’m really not that important to need a lifeline on my hip during vacation.
  3. Fog can also be a problem at that time of the year and delay your arrival into the port of New Orleans.
  4. I recall officers vs passengers pool volleyball aboard Celebrity ships. Captain and his officers would get in the pool with their uniforms on and play against passengers- fun to watch! Also the paper airplane making contest in the atrium was pretty cool.
  5. We usually fly into port cities so this hasn’t been an issue for us. For the couple of cruises we have taken that are close enough to home to drive to - one was a large group cruise so we hired a bus to take us and pick us up. For the other, we drove and parked our car at the port. concerning car seats - I guess I’m a bad daddy! My daughter has been cruising since she was about 20 months old and I don’t ever remember taking a car seat with us. Taki rides are usually short and busses are one of the safest modes of transportation so no car seats/seat belts necessary. Besides, I’ve never been a seat belt user and my daughter has followed in my footsteps. I survived riding in the back of a pickup truck and on the fender of a tractor during my youth so it’s all good.
  6. I’ve never been the iron guy type - just don’t see what the fuss is about. I had a friend who ironed his underwear! Why would you unless you are a pole dancer, and even then people aren’t looking at your wrinkle free undies.
  7. I don’t want to pay for a greener experience - Govt regs already cost us way more than they should! I’m not convinced it’s needed.
  8. This must save a lot of time - getting dressed in the shower! Please tell us more. Do you also brush your teeth and comb your hair in the shower as well? You may be on to something here for lost time….
  9. We were on Millennium in February ‘23 for a Caribbean cruise. Doing a 10 day Silhouette in February ‘24
  10. Christmas is about traditions and family - midnight mass, waking up on Christmas morning and watching the kids open gifts, heading to grandmas house in the afternoon for the big dinner. None of this can be experienced on a Christmas cruise.
  11. Looks like you are on to something based on this article. WTF Celebrity?! https://www.cruisehive.com/celebrity-cruises-introduces-extra-benefits-pass/114933
  12. I’ve only cruised once during Christmas - not for me.
  13. There is only one solution to this problem - remove all doors on all cruise ships ASAP! Doors kill…or at least maim.
  14. I just made final payment on a Celebrity cruise for February. Like you, we have preferred Celebrity but have also noticed the changes for the worse. We will see how this next cruise goes before booking another. We may end up on Azamara or Silverseas. BTW, Reflection has been one of our favorite ships. Thx for your review!
  15. And then there’s this - don’t tip ahead of time and you are likely getting cold food… https://www.foxbusiness.com/fox-news-food-drink/tip-driver-pay-price-doordash-warns-delivery-delays-happening-no-tip
  16. I have a craving for a cookie right now….
  17. The claim is boxed wines will last up to 30 days after opening. I’ve yet to have one last past about 8 or 9 days - guess I need to drink slower…. I don’t think any restaurants or cruise ships serve box wines.
  18. I usually shave my head a week before cruising so no need for salon services while on board, though at some point I think I will treat myself to a “proper” shave of the face while on a cruise.
  19. I like zip lining so will look into that. Otherwise, I have not looked at any excursions yet or done any planning. I will wait until after I make final payment next month to do any further planning.
  20. OMG I guess you are not a box wine kinda person - These are high quality box wines for only $22! My kind of wine.
  21. Some people have no sense of direction nor are they aware of their surroundings. Not sure if they have the better life or not….
  22. Going on the Silhouette in February- 1st time on this ship. We’ve been on the Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, and Reflection- this is probably our favorite class of ships.
