  1. Out of all the cruiselines we have sailed, this is what we noticed about NCL and a reason we haven’t been back after our 1st cruise with them.
  2. I think you answered your own question. It’s all about the clicks.
  3. 10k people on a ship is way too many for me!
  4. The rear of the ship is the worst for movement- you get the up/down and side-to-side movement. The front of the ship is not as bad - mainly just the up and down movement as the ship breaks thru the waves. Lower decks in the middle of the ship have the least movement. Unlike the rest of you, we book near the elevators midship because we are just steps away from the transporter to the fun! Motion doesn’t usually bother us. We don’t notice the noise, and maybe that’s because we sail mostly celebrity, which has fewer kids and a more mature audience that doesn’t make a lot of noise. The ultimate deck is exactly midway between the lower entertainment decks and the upper pool/buffet decks. I can easily do 3 flights of stairs up to the buffet or 3 flights of stairs down to the theater. From this cabin location, I can usually be anywhere on the ship in less than 3 minutes taking the stairs! Helps me keep my girly or speedo figure.
  5. Booked an island tour thru the cruiseline and booked a powerboat/snorkel tour with an outside vendor. One old, one new. Need to book at least one more excursion for this upcoming cruise.
  6. Has anyone been to Tobago recently? I’m going for the 1st time in February and from what I’ve read on that critical cruisin website, there is not a lot of recent info on Tobago and the little bit that people are saying doesn’t paint the port in a good light. Sounds like some crime and safety issues. If you have been recently or know someone who has, please share.
  7. I am not a fan of what celebrity is doing with the suite class, especially the retreat area on the top deck - taking away the views from the front of the ship from those of us who are not sweet guests. I always enjoyed watching us enter or leave ports from the front of the ship on the top outside deck. Sadly no more. Like you, we enjoy the millennium and solstice class ships better than edge class. We were on Millennium last February for the 3rd time. We will be on the Silhouette this February. Reflection is probably my favorite.
  8. Cruise ships are not immune to weather - especially wind and waves.
  9. Not a fan of the infinite verandas, but otherwise the Edge-class ships are great. We have only been on one - Edge in 2020 - but are looking at Beyond for later this year.
  10. I doubt Carnival is concerned about calories unless they fall under the laws of the state of California. I’m sure this is all about keeping costs in check. It’s called shrinkflation.
  11. Johnny Cake is like a sweet roll - popular in the Caribbean. Delish! I have probably driven by the natural pool on one of many excursions in Sint Maarten, but never a stop that I am aware of. One our more memorable adventures on the stand was when my daughter and I rented an old ATV type vehicle that didn’t look like it would make it out of the parking lot. It ran the whole day while we drove around most of the island, French and Dutch side, seeing the sites. Maho Beach was a favorite where we stopped to watch the planes.
  12. I stayed up till midnight after having 4 glasses of wine. Was awake about 6am and out of bed about 7 to move on with my day. No hangover. I did get some shore excursions booked yesterday for our February cruise.
  13. Wife and I will be in Sint Maarten in February. Been there many times so this time we just plan on going into town and having some Johnny Cake bread and lunch at Maxine’s Caribbean bar & Grill on the beach.
  14. My next cruise is in mid February and I haven’t booked the first excursion. Maybe tomorrow or New Years Day when I have some extra time. But before drinking or after the hangover…
  15. Just like we’ve seen with the clot shot and face diapers, testing will not stop the spread. Mostly now, it’s just a cold or the flu, you know, like the same things we dealt with pre February 2020.
  16. For vacations to locations out of the ordinary, I usually use a travel agent for this very reason.
  17. I’ve got a cousin sailing out of Port Canaveral in February on a Carnival cruise but don’t know what ship she’s on. I think I heard her say one of her stops is Half Moon Cay.
  18. She was in Austria, not Australia. I’m not sure kangaroos are native to Austria.
  19. Bunny Tracks is similar to Moose Tracks. We used to sell Blue Bunny when we owned a grocery store - that’s how I learned about it. I think I have seen it sold in Food Lion. We don’t have any Publix in the Northeast that I know of.
  20. Blue Bunny ice cream is not dairy free. It is a premium ice cream. This is my favorite.
  21. I agree - bigger is not always better.
  22. Sounds like you need to visit a dairy farm and have a sit down with the farmer. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet or watch on YouTube.
  23. Celebrity makes their own ice cream and it’s some of the best IMO and it’s FREE! After Eight is my favorite but it’s only available one or 2 days during a cruise.
  24. Why can’t they just make their own ice cream like celebrity does - that has got to be some of the best ice cream and it’s free! Well it has been free in the past, but like the cookies, they will probably start charging extra for it.
