NCL Joy sitting in Bermuda during post hurricane Idalia?

The NCL Joy is sitting in Bermuda during a tropical storm which is the remnant of Idalia.  She left NY on 8/30/23 even though Franklin and Idalia were posing active threats to Bermuda.  Last year I was rerouted to Canada for basically a non-existent hurricane which actually followed our path up the coast to Canada with wicked winds.  (Newport, Portland & St. John's),  Who makes these decisions?

@bombarc It's a bummer you were affected by this NCL Joy itinerary change. Were you on this sailing? It seems you may have acquired an extra cruise day pro bono! 

RCL's Liberty of the Seas was affected by Idalia on Saturday, Sept. 2, even though it wasn't a hurricane anymore, skipping Bermuda. Although Idalia was just a post-tropical cyclone at this point, it still made it unsafe to visit Bermuda.
