You can't beat film. Digital is convenient thats all, and the bigger the cameras MB, the sharper and clearer the image, which again is better for manipulation of the picture, but film will always be the overall winner in my eyes. 

I understand why cruise lines push and try to sell the alcohol packages, its a big selling point. And as a casual drinker, I certainly will be buying per drink, and the wife will have half.

I'm glad they have been distinguished and the island can start afresh again. I wish the islanders all the luck going. I have not visited Hawaii before @Cruising Caribbean, and maybe one day I will because it looks the perfect place.

I love Italian food, it's one of my most favourite meals. I do plan to try most of their dishes and desserts. I also have just decided to go for it about the spa treatment. Let's go for it..

What type of food would anyone recommend on MSC cruises? I'd rather have a heads up and know what to go for rather than be disappointed in a particular dish when it gets served up.

@rindybar I personally have never had a spa treatment or a massage as such in my life. Many have told me to go for it, but never have 

We tend to think of costs, but surely the system used in the port of Rotterdam can't be that expensive in the grand scheme of things. 

No it would appear to be in bad taste to visit and relax with peoples homes burning behind you. Is the fire still raging? Pardon my ignorance, I've tried to read about the devastation but i can't really see if the fire is still going.

As much as I would love to curb this type of behaviour and want to see the cruise lines making an example of such a thing, I can't see them going ahead @Cruising Caribbean with your idea as the world these days prevent such an act with the ridiculous human rights etc..

Are there still trips going to Hawaii? I've read reports stating that it's a big location and one side is affected so therefore ships could visit the other destination. But surely how anyone could visit a destination and enjoy themselves knowing that there is carnage going on the island.

I tend to agree with @PaulB, it's the ports duty and responsibility to put things in place to prevent any incidents from occurring. It may only be rare that this happens, but if someone was walking on that and it went, that one occasion could prove fatal.

@Cruising Caribbean maybe the baseball mentality of three strikes and you're out. If a certain cruise line continues to get complaints, then it will get a knock on effect on whether guests will book onto their ships 

Let's all get together and begin a petition contacting each CEO of cruise lines and demanding the necessary actions that be taken.

Wow. I'd there much call for film anymore? I know people say digital is the way forward, and I tend to agree with the practical side of it, but maybe there is a comeback due for film to return?

@3Sisters I was reading somewhere people making containers out of bamboo. I thought what a novel idea that would be. It's durable, unlikely to break and it looked so sleek and modern.

What are the thought process behind these oversold sailings? Surely it can't be computer error every time. They blamed booking systems to begin with. They can't keep using the same excuses time after time. It is not good enough. People spend money and book those dates for a reason 

I love these photographs. I love the film feel of a photo rather than the digital these days. I agree it's far easier but nothing tops the look of a proper film and print.

I've just read that some cruise lines are now considering charging for pizza onboard. It's always been free as part of all inclusive and the talk is this may change in the future. I personally find all this type of talk very soul destroying as things that were once free has slowly had charge on it lately. 

Such a shame this type of behaviour is allowed. People want to go on cruises to enjoy themselves not be tormented by mindless idiots that just do not care about other people. There is hardly any consideration from parents anymore, and we see it get worse each day in everyday situations. When I go on a cruise and spend money to go on a vacation, i do expect some type of respect from unruly behaviour.

It goes to show you if you shop around enough and willing to go to other destinations, you can get better deals. Yes the plane transfer helps keep the price lower, and I admit the Mediterranean is such a stunning backdrop, but I think the Norwegian Fjords does overall sneak it. Enjoy.

I tend to agree. Meat is best. I read about the benefits and I read about how meat is bad for you and the environment, however I still prefer this to the plant based diet some people now adopt. I have tried plant based dishes, and some have been beautiful, however I don't think I could have an entirely based diet of this indefinitely.

@PaulB make sure you post them on here so that we can all see the views ourselves. 

Europe, the duty free isn't that much cheaper anymore than it once was. We could always go into duty free and save a fortune, however the last time I went to one, I was quite surprised at the prices so I bought one or two things instead of a large quantity.

@FJB@PaulB I agree with your posts and can see the need for change on both accounts, however the long term care is a difficult one to comprehend. Glass is probably the best way but costs more maybe but recycling would be difficult. Plastic is the obvious choice however very bad for the environment and cardboard I like the idea of, but fear the water won't be as fresh.

@3Sisters it certainly does, thank you very much. I do prefer European foods to American if I'm honest, and love the fact that this is also made fresh onboard, I definitely was not expecting that, do that's an extra boost to the proceedings.  Fresh pizza is one of the best things you can try, and thanks to your review, I'm looking forward to booking a cruise with them.

I've been looking online for reviews from guests that have sailed with MSC cruises and tried to find any reviews on the food and the dining they have onboard. I've read quite a few on carnival cruises and even some stating good reviews on Disney. I was wondering if anyone has been on MSC lately and give me an insight in what to expect.
