  1. Isn't it a tragedy that there are so many people that go overboard. The latest one by all account was merely looking over the side and apparently fell over. It does scare my slightly taking my young son with us on the next ship. It's so easily done.

  2. Yeah I'm sorry to hear you received this experience. As you 100% said, you paid a lot of money to be on the cruise and experience the whole thing to be lied to in order for the greed of the company to make more money is not something that should be taken lightly. I don't like the sound of that and Disney should be ashamed of themselves for treating paying customers this way.

  3. @PaulB I would have thought every job was challenging in its own way as some would be harder in a way that they have so much responsibility on their shoulders. Some would be mentally draining maybe as they would require organising and making sure everything was running smoothly. Others like chefs and waiters would find it hard being on their feet feeding thousands of people.

  4. @3Sisters reading the post, I can see why the company are resorting to this as they have had some positives, however I do believe that we have come a long way since COVID began and I think it should be the guests choice maybe if they wish to have masks on if it makes them comfortable.

  5. @Kat627 I'm with you on that, I wouldn't be happy to find my room being cleaned so late in the day. I guess we tend to be familiar with that being done in the mornings. And if customers know that a ship is short staffed, it will make the whole experience deflated as you would know that everything will be done at a slower pace than normal.

  6. That's not nice to hear. You don't really think about drug use and things aboard a cruise. As for the staff turning the other cheek, it seems to be commonplace at the moment that these illegal things get overlooked because people don't want to confront and get into a potential difficult situation.

  7. @3Sisters yes I agree, I've been reading about the cruises along the Greek islands. I was quite surprised at how many there are, but as you said, the Azamara is considered the best of the cruises and it would definitely be something I would like to read more into before booking.

  8. It's the norm worldwide at the moment I'm afraid. Companies were happy to blame COVID for any misfortune or bad customer service at the time, however it feels like things haven't really improved much, and some are still blaming the hangover over COVID on why we are still experiencing these mistakes. I think companies need to begin taking pride in their roles again and work rather than playing the blame game.

  9. They've been campaigning against smoking for years as we all know about passive smoking and even though I'm not a smoker and believe it's great you can go into a public place without smelling of smoke and inhaling other people's smoke. I don't tend to mind if people smoke outside for that reason but I can see why banning it would help improve air quality. Where can people go if they want or need something to smoke? Some people may need that fix there and then and find themselves needing to go some place to get that
