Danny V.
Concerning the dropping of San Juan port of call for Nassau, Bahamas. I was scheduled to embark on a Oct. 1st, 2022 cruise on Mardi Gras with a stop in San Juan on Oct. 4th. I received an e-mail on sat Feb. 19th. 2022, indicating that San Juan had been dropped from the itinerary. Something else is going on with the ship or the port. I checked the date for the week before and that sailing still has San Juan as a port of call.
Emrys
It all remains very fluid indeed. A shame really as San Juan is much better than Nassau! Not sure on the reason for the change.
Robert Goff
I sail on Mardi Gras on March 26 ,2022 and San Juan is still on my itinerary as well as excursions in San Juan. Why would Carnival leave it on if it was dropped as a P O C?
Mike L.
Our cruise for July 16, 2022, shows San Juan dropped in favor of Nassau
Sherrie
Robert Goff, It appears Celebrity is doing the same thing. I keep calling and no one can give me a straight answer. I sail on March 12, but the previous sailing this week with the same itinerary to San Juan, did not go to San Juan. It is frustrating to not be able to get answers.
TheRealist
Carnival has to rotate itineraries so that there aren't more than 2 large ships at a time in Port (per Covid precautions). The ones that are switching to Nassau would mean they have 2 large ships (perhaps a Royal Caribbean brand for example along with another large ship) already scheduled to be in Puerto Rico. I hope this helps!
