Carnival has to rotate itineraries so that there aren't more than 2 large ships at a time in Port (per Covid precautions). The ones that are switching to Nassau would mean they have 2 large ships (perhaps a Royal Caribbean brand for example along with another large ship) already scheduled to be in Puerto Rico.
