cheryl
I booked a cruise on my own and I need to see about a exemption for the vaccine… I sail in October. The site says they accommodate 5% of the sailing for exemption purposes. How do I do this??
Megan Mendez
As far as I've been able to find, religious exemptions aren't being honored. The 5% was for children medical exemptions only. We've already canceled and/or rebooked 3 cruises. One that was booked in 2018. This is bullshit as every ship at sea has covid positive passengers - which reiterates vaccinated people contract and spread this virus even though they have been "protected" with this so-called vaccine. Nothing but discrimination. 1
AR1998
When is the earliest you can submit the form? Can it be done before final payment?
kefthecruiser
It seems to me there is quite a bit of detail surrounding exemptions and that these periodically change. Please review the cruise line protocols. For Carnival these are at: https://www.carnival.com/Legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols?icid=advisory_cruisehealth_040122 The page has a link to the application form.
contractsmatter
Get a vaccine. You have plenty of time before October, then you don't have to concern yourself with this. Grow up and be responsible.

Then you'd have the positive cases explode, and it wouldn't be asymptomatic, or mild symptoms, but severe cases and death like March 2020 on ships. Sad. Willy
What some are saying is ridiculous. I'm going on a July cruise and don't want ANYONE 12 & older on my ship that's unvaccinated. No exceptions!

Coupondee
Princess takes religious exemptions.. we just got off the Caribbean Princess. You must take a pcr test 3 days before sailing, at the port before boarding and another one mid cruise. Masks were not enforced at the port or on the ship. The only time they were enforced was on the tender.
DeanneB
The exemption if for children ages 5-11 and teens and adults with medical conditions. Carnival requires a written confirmation for the exemption. The vaccination policy does change however, not being vaccinated will always be hump for you. It also more expensive since Carnival may ask you to test numerous times before and onboard the ship.
