bombarc Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 I am thinking about taking the 10 day cruise out of NY this month on the GEM. Do I need a negative PCR test prior, will I be tested at the terminal prior to boarding, or do I just need my vaccinaton card? What are the testing protocols once the ship is underway? Thank you. Mary NH Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 My husband and I are sailing on the Gem on Feb 18th. My understanding is that you must bring your vaccine card showing two vaccines received. The second vaccine must have been given at least two weeks prior to sailing. You can pay $99 per test at the port to prove you are negative. OR Be quick tested at home with a PCR or antigen with 48 hours of sailing. We have an appt already at 630pm on Wednesdsy Feb 16th since we sail on the 18th at 4 pm. In our area you are paying $100 for a quick antigen test. I have had covid In early December and I understand you can test positive for 12 weeks. I am going to be tested again in a few weeks. If I come up.positive even though I am no longer sick, it will give me time to be tested again or get a Dr appt and letter that I do not have covid and I am healthy to travel. Most of this into can be found on the NCL website or call them. Quote
