Has anyone cruised from Southampton before? It seems like the cruise port is going to see an increase in guests this year!

@Kendall James-Vargas yes I've sailed from Southampton. I didn't know what to expect, the time boarding wasn't as bad as I was expecting at first. It was all fairly painless and we got on in a reasonable fashion

That's great news to hear Southampton is growing! One of the reasons it's likely growing in popularity is because the area has so much to do. I would imagine cruise guests what some extra time to explore the area on land before departing back to their hometown. https://www.cruisehive.com/things-to-do-in-southampton-uk-for-cruise-visitors/42016 This port has the capacity to hold some serious mega ships!

I've cruised out of Southhampton lots of times.  It's a nice port.  There's a couple of big Asda's close by good for stocking up on snacks & a wine bottle.  I hope they have improved the parking area!

@Baowen last time I went out of Southampton they hadn't improved it. And we were waiting such a long time, in hot weather which put us all in a bad mood to begin things with. They have some nice eateries around so best to get there early and look around before going into the waiting around .
