TheLastBaronW
Glad all are safe and the crew was so competent. I wonder what would have been if instead of the Balmoral, it had been one of those floating blocks of flats most lines are sadly trending to. Poseidon Adventure 2 perhaps? DeanneB
They have nerves of steel. So glad that they are brave, prepared and well-trained for this kind of circumstance. https://www.cruisehive.com/cabins-damaged-after-cruise-ship-experiences-severe-storm/88287
Martins
I have been emailing and phoned peter Deer at Fred Olsen. Since the end of November. To establish why you would set sail in a force 7. Knowing that a force 11 Gale was forecast for the North Sea still no reply!!!
3Sisters
@Martins It was a serious mistake! I'm not sure why risk taking like that is necessary. I would imagine cruise guests were so frightened!
LukeJ
How frightening it must have been. I can't fathom what it would be like to be at sea during a storm.
PaulB
@TheLastBaronW yes I agree it would have been like the Poseidon adventure. You think things like this could only exist in movies.
Kendall James-Vargas
@LukeJ I agree. I think I may be traumatized and a bit apprehensive to cruise again! I always get frightened when an airplane gets bumpy while flying, I think this would be even more terrifying.
