Cabin Above the Dining Area, Good or Bad?

We are going on a 14 day cruise and have a cabin on the deck above the dining area. Like RIGHT above.  Good or bad from a noise perspective.  Thinking about early morning when prepping for breakfast. Thanks,

In my experience, above not much of a concern but you do not want to be below anything that involves food prep or public areas!

We were below the dining room on a recent cruise and there was no problem.  We did hear just a little bit of noise early in the morning while someone would roll a cart back and forth across the floor above us, presumably some type of food prep.  But, it was short-lived and not at all a big issue.  I would think being above should be fine.

Getting a cabin above the dining area should be okay.  Personally, I am more worried about getting a cabin directly below any public areas, like the main pool. dining areas.  If you are sensitive to noise it might be an issue, if you can sleep through any it should be fine.  Sometimes these cabins are cheaper than others.
