  2. These are questions you should ask the insurance company, not a random internet message board. I hope that the resolution is adequate, and that your wife feels better soon! If you could update us how this turns out, it would be helpful for others to see how easily, or how difficult to deal with, the insurance you purchase directly through Carnival is.

Some exceptions depending on specific government rules and regulations.
  4. Quit listening to charlatans, protect yourself, your family, and society, get vaccinated. No antibodies<antibodies<antibodies+vaccine. Even the Pope has been vaccinated. Sorry, you are NOT special. You are NOT smarter and a 'free thinker.' You buy into fear and anger from charlatans, that's all. If you want to cruise and not be vaccinated, tough luck. There is a reason 'outbreaks' on ships are so well contained, and case severity is so low. It's a single reason, vaccines.

  6. Who is the 'you' you refer to in "you aren’t allowing religious exemptions?" You do realize this message board isn't run by Carnival, right? The answer to your question is when it's safe and prudent. If a friend or family member wants to cruise with you, but won't get vaccinated due to a personal belief, that's their loss. Should they have a valid medical reason they can not be vaccinated, hopefully they receive an exemption. As both a shareholder, and a person who enjoys cruising, I'm grateful the cruise lines have developed protocols to mitigate covid on ships. Without it, the companies would go bust. I'd have no ships to cruise on, and my holdings would be worthless.

  8. https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=4834 this should help. It lists the address for all terminals Carnival uses. NOLA is easy, Uber, taxi, even walk if you're nearby. The drop off area itself is a bit congested, but what port isn't like that?
  9. I was on this ship in 2018 for an 8 day cruise. It's not the biggest ship, but it's jammed full of stuff. The specialty restaurants are all great, the Havana bar is a really nice area, and Ocean Plaza is a great space in the evening for live music. It has the best Serenity deck of all Carnival ships. If you love chilling in a pool, it may be disappointing. The ship only has 2 pools, and neither are very large. Also the comedy club has a poor setup and not a ton of seating. Other than those issues, though, it's a great ship. Don't worry about negative reviews. Most people won't write about a good time, but are more than willing to tell anyone that will listen about a bad time. It skews reviews for anything and everything. You'll have a great time!
  10. A friend of mine acquired some items from Carnival Fantasy. Not exactly sure how, but it involved getting in contact with workers at the breaking yard. I believe he started the search using Facebook. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

  12. Last year I stayed at Hampton Inn Brickell. Nice area, lots of restaurants nearby. They offer transportation to the port, I want to say it was $10/person, but I can't recall exactly. They do have a parking garage, but do not know if they offer park and cruise rates.

  14. Of course it's a money grab. They are a business, businesses exist to make money. Everything the cruise lines have been doing in the last 2 years is to minimize loss. Do you want to cruise or not?
  15. Sounds like you're going off one side of the story, Ron's. You're missing Carnival's. Carnival won't tell someone to call back 'at the end of March.' Everything is in the contract about what they need to do and what refunds one would be entitled to in what situations. Contracts matter. What one thinks they hear some phone rep say, not so much.
