  1. I don't mind getting lost, I can see it more as a challenge or more of a trip. But my wife gets anxious, and stressed which almost makes me to feel stressed from her.
  2. I honestly feel lucky at how quickly we can get ready if I'm honest. I see my wife start getting ready for when we go out hours and hours before. Honestly, I have no idea whatsoever what takes women THAT long, and I'm not even trying to be rude. I see my wife, and she's been getting "ready" for at least 4 hours and when I ask her how she doing, there is at least another "2 hours" worth of procedure she has yet to do. I mean, what is going on?
  3. @Kendall James-Vargas have you ever been to Turanga? I've seen images and videos in regards to the place, but I'm certain it will be even more breathtaking to see in reality.
  4. @Kendall James-Vargas if I'm honest, I've never seen any of them onboard either. I've been one to have a walk about and find some form of entertainment or have lunch
  5. I'm more of a one person sports player, golf, tennis, badminton than a team player. Got nothing against that type of games though, just rather play snooker or pool than football.
  6. There is a saying in our house: if I say I will fix it, then I will fix it. You don't need to keep reminding me every six months
  7. I guess it's important that everyone works together and compromise. My wife to be fair asks my input and I do put it back on her, and then moan when she has done it. But isn't that marriage for you? If you don't annoy your partner at least once a week, you're not doing your job properly. 😂

No I haven't had a solo cruise. You are right, the price is a little off putting to go on your own. I don't think it would put me off going on my own though other than the cost. But it all depends on what you want out of your vacation onboard really.
  9. Yes yes yes. Also New Zealand is a must. I've just realised that everywhere is a must. But I think Auckland would be wonderful to see. And being a huge lord of the rings fan, it is a definite to go on the lotr tour to see the locations where they filmed.
  10. I haven't personally been to Australia, however I have read about Royal Caribbean ships cruising to there and it looks absolutely stunning. The idea and the chance to visit iconic destinations like Sydney opera House and visit places like Queensland is definitely a must. You must say @Cruising farmer if you ever do decide to go and where?
  11. I didn't know about the war exemption on the insurance. Just goes to show that they cover and think of absolutely everything in these insurance companies. It does make perfect sense however, and may come in handy.
  12. I'm aware of that saying too, as often quoted to me by my father in law. However a vacation is for everyone, and a mutual understanding and decision is required for all parties to enjoy themselves.

I enjoy both cruising as a couple and with others. You get a different vibe for each. A more relaxed, chilled out vacation with your loved ones, and if with friends, it's more fun, drink filled maybe.
  14. @Kendall James-Vargas yes I do love the game. It keeps me occupied and helps my stress and worries away. I do try to get on the course as often as I can, and tee off early in the morning, and home in time just for the day to begin. I do believe it's a good family game as you say, and I enjoy having a quite not competitive game with them.
  15. @Kendall James-Vargas hi. No I haven't been on a golf focused cruise before. But I have been to Spain on a gold tournament, and that's the closest I've ever been. I would love to play miniature golf on the upper decks. Not many people can say they have done that. So that would be a big tick.
  16. @Woody14 thank you for that. I didn't really think of that. I'm going by photos and documentaries, and of course they make it look stunning to sell the place to you, I guess I just fell for it and was taken in by the beauty of it.
  17. @Cruising Caribbean there is something magical about snow. A fairy tale in its own way. In the UK, we tend to get more sludge than pure snow. I can imagine the wonderful landscapes of Canada covered in snow. It's something I would be happy to see. The autumn colours would look mesmerising as it does in photos and the sun beaming down gives the place a bold colour.
  18. Whenever I mention Canada, and the question arises for the destination, I'm actually stumped at where to say because I wish to do the whole country. I can't really pinpoint any that I could say I would like to do more than another place. Canada/New England just looks like somewhere where i could make my home. The Rockies is a dream, and Vancouver I'd go in a heartbeat, so maybe that's the answer. Everywhere..
  19. I have yet to go to Japan, but it is certainly something I very much would like to do in the future. The images of the country looks mesmerising and even when I read about the culture and it's food, it is 100,% something I long to do.
  20. As disappointed you may have felt about the amenities of the ship, and maybe the way the customer service was handled, the visits to the Asian locations surely must have been worthwhile.
  21. Mostly the European destinations, and despite them all being beautiful locations, I do believe my dream sailing and port of call visits would be to Canada. There is something about the place I've always wished to visit, and one day I'm sure I will get that wish.

I've been on vacation with my in laws many times, every year mostly, and I enjoy their company. It was them that got us into the cruising aspect and they always seem more excited about which ship we go on than us.
  23. No I don't think there is a requirement now I believe. In the UK, you can go to work still even if you have COVID. I guess it's treated as a common cold these days as your body has adapted to it.
  24. @Cruising Caribbean what's the best vacation you've had? No matter what the money was, that you felt was worth every nickel and would happily do it again?
