  1. The cruising CDC travel extortion will continue until the Biden administration is shown the door and all of the sheep go with them. If the vax is so damn safe and effective, why do vaxed people get the virus? Here's an idea, how about having, let's say, every third cruise on any particular ship, a NON-VAXED cruise! Let's see what would happen then! I would bet that the occurrence of Covid, if detected, would be no worse than the current rates of infection than you see on these all vaxed discriminatory cruises that we are witnessing.

  2. If I remember correctly, you can only get 1 drink at a time and there is a time limit between drinks as well. Also, one thing to think about is when you are in port your drink package is just burning daylight. They are the ones making money at that point since you are off the boat and can't get to the bar on the ship until you get back. If you don't drink much, search the internet for the "shampoo bottles" that are out there to take you own alcohol of choice in your luggage with you real shampoo!

  3. If you are looking at the Liberty, Independence, or Freedom, look at cabin(s) #1400 or 1700. They are absolutely the best balcony cabins on board any of those ships! You will enjoy the cruise from the view off the rear of the ship and because of the location underneath the superstructure of the deck above, you can enjoy your balcony in any weather and also have shade from the sun when needed. You can see these cabins on YOUTUBE by inputting the cabin number and ship name in the search bar.

  4. Jon, That is dead wrong! We just got our refund for the second cruise we had booked with Royal in the last 3 months and after spending multiple hours on the phone with their offshore customer service script readers, we did get all of our money and future cruise credits refunded in full. Patience my friend, and tenacity! Don't be afraid to ask for a supervisor or even their RESOLUTIONS Department.

  5. I recently went through the same thing. After three calls, each call lasting more than an hour of conversation, not "on hold" time, I was told that I would receiving our refund including cashing in on the future cruise credits, within 45 days of the first call. After two more calls after 45 days plus, our refund was processed into two different refunds that came a month apart. I believe Ready2Cruise is right in the assessment that they are taking their sweet time to refund anyone so they can continue to pay bills.

  6. OK Cruiser, how about folks that have already had the damn virus and now have more NATURAL IMMUNITY than you ever have with the VAX and 3 or however many boosters that they come up with? Follow that science! How's that for a valid reason? Also, the real vaccinations you referred to took years to develop a safe, reliable, and effective product that the companies could stand behind. That's a little different situation than the current policy of NO responsibility for 75 years for what-ever happens if you develop problems because of their rushed science.

  7. I have been reading the posts to the boards this morning and seeing the disappointment that folks are experiencing with the cruise industry as a whole this morning and I find what i think is a common thread, no customer service. I know that the cruise industry has been hit in a very hard and unfair way from the Chinese Virus and the heavy handed overreach from the CDC (Federal Government), but it seems to me that rather than do what's right for the consumers that support them, they choose to bow to the powers at large and take the same heavy handed approaches to the elephants in the room. The requirement for "ALL" passengers to be vaccinated, including children, constitutes, in my opinion, discrimination. It does not take into consideration those with natural immunity or those that have had the bug and recovered with more antibodies than the shot can give you. My wife and I both had the virus for Christmas in 2020 and we both test very well for the antibodies left behind. We are not vaccinated and will not be and my wife has a medical consideration that precludes her from getting the vax. We have had 6 cruises cancelled because of this mess. We were able to cruise 1 time in August and had a wonderful time and did not experience any problems other than pre-cruise testing availability and the uncertainty that entailed. The cruise line has been more than to apply our funds to "future cruises" but with the uncertainty of the way the cruise lines are acting, why would we keep letting them use our money to continue to tell us NO to be able to cruise? Unless you training is in accounting, trying to make sense of the refund process and the amount of your money that you will getting back for all of the future cruise credits, down payments, port fees and taxes that have to paid our of your pocket and not your future cruise credits is ridiculous. It seem s like every time we rebook and try to apply money already spent, we are hit with more fees and less customer service in trying to understand where FCC (Future Cruise Credit) #xyz7754 has been applied and for what amount. Lord forbid you have a problem understanding the person on the other end of the line located in a country other than your own that has probably never been on a cruise ship or even seen one in person.

I think that it is time that we, the disappointed consumers that have supported this industry, contact the heads of the cruise lines, we contact the states office of consumer affairs, and we get vocal and public to the discrimination that the cruise lines are perpetuating on the public.

  8. It's time for a class action lawsuit and we need the state to be a part of it. I'm having to call this morning and cancel another cruise we had booked in Feb. '22. I just received the cruise credits from the one I had to cancel from last week and , low and behold, the amounts are not what the Royal rep and I agreed was the correct amount.

  9. It looks like there is no science and there won't be as long as the CDC can get away with making rules without having the power to. Both my wife and I have had covid and we too have more antibodies than the non-proven vacines give someone. We are having to cancel two cruises that have been paid for and we have been planning for two years before this crap ever started. There is no science, only politics.

  10. Neither can I. We have a cruise departing on Nov 14th. and every time I call to inquire about if we have to have the vac, I'm told to check back after Nov.1. If they don't change their protocols, that will leave no time for us to change our vacation time or get a refund to our account so that we have funds to rebook a different vacation. We were able to cruise with them in August before they changed the policy again and shut us out.
