DavidBlakely Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 We are scheduled for a trip on the Norwegian Gem the end of January. How many positive cases of COVID have been found on their last trip and what are the methods of sanitizing after each cruise? I don’t want to get stuck in a cabin. Quote
Emrys Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Hey @DavidBlakely, the cruise lines don't usually reveal the numbers. I do have to say that the sanitizing and cleaning onboard will be significant. You just need to be prepared for port changes and any situation that comes up, that's the new reality at the moment. Eric F Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) I understand that they sent a letter notifying passengers of possible itinerary changes but that doesn't make it ok. I booked a cruise on the GEM last summer for the end of January. If they can't provide what I purchased then they should cancel the cruise or offer a refund. If I purched tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and he couldn't perform they aren't going to put Rick Springfield on the stage. They would refund everyone's money. I paid to visit certain islands. If we can't visit the islands I paid to see then they should offer my money back, not a cheesey credit and 10% off a future cruise. I got that last time they canceled and even with the 10% off and best price of the year it cost me more for the cruise. It's not fair! Also I think you can find out how many positive cases there are on a particular ship at the CDC website. Edited January 11, 2022 by Eric F Quote
