Kendall James-Vargas
@Annmarie I think there are some walkable beaches from Taino Bay Cruise Port. Although I haven't walked to a beach from this port before, I'm finding options that are within 15 minutes walking distance.

PaulB
Dominic Republic is the most beautiful place. I've been several times and completely enjoyed my time there on each occasion.
Kendall James-Vargas
What do you typically enjoy exploring while in Dominican Republic? The area is truly rebounding post-shutdown. In fact, I think it's going to continue to do so. https://www.cruisehive.com/caribbean-cruise-nation-received-nearly-100000-cruise-visitors-in-july/77965 I wonder if the cost of activities will go up. I explored Ocean World last year and the price was very reasonable.
Lou
No. There are no beaches within walking distance of Port Taino. HOWEVER, within the port itself, there is a lovely pool area and a "lazy river". I even saw a surf-style "flow rider" at the port. Looked like a lot of fun. If we hadn't booked an excursion, I might have just hung out at the port itself instead.
Cruising Caribbean
@Lou I was able to enjoy Port Taino on a recent cruise, and I loved it! It was such a visitor friendly experience and I felt safe the entire time. Port Taino was clean and secure, unlike some of the other ports I stopped at during my last itinerary. I missed the lazy river when I was there, but that's something I surely would have enjoyed. Hopefully next time I'm there I take advantage of that amenity. Which excursion did you end up at?
