Stairs vs Elevators

Does anyone else get impatient while waiting for the cruise elevators? I usually opt the stairs to burn off the extra calories I'm eating. Does anyone else do this? I find myself working up a sweat when I climb the stairs. Maybe I should bring my sneakers for the stairwell!

I do the same. I don't like waiting for elevators so I usually take the stairs.  Burning a few more calories is just a bonus.

During the first 4 1/2 days of a 7 day cruise, I take the stairs 90% of the time. During the last 2 days of the cruise I take the elevator 90% of the time - too many desserts!

Taking the stairs should be an incentive to be able to eat more at the buffet table!

@Casual Cruiser I'm glad I am not the only one! If I stay sedentary, I think I would end up waddling off the ship by the end of the cruise.

@FJB That's a great way to take advantage of both options. That's what the elevators are for!

@PaulB There are always so many options at the buffet, but french fries are by far my favorite! I will go back for a midday snack and load up on the fries.

Can’t say I’ve ever gotten fries from a buffet, unless the poolside grill counts as a buffet.

@FJB A poolside grill could offer the same goodness! I'm also a big fan of dippings sauces. So if I find a good fry and a good dipping sauce, you can guarantee I'm going home about five pounds heavier.
