dad004
I feel like such a heel. I didn't see the fine print where Grand Turk requires vaccination. It's too late to get it, therefore, they can't get off the boat. I booked the cruise for my wife and daughter. Can someone put my mind at ease and tell me it's not THAT big of a deal? I feel terrible.
FJB
There are ways around it - just sayin’. But I have been to Grand Turk exactly once and don’t really need to go back. Not a lot happening there. Many people just go for Margaritaville - the pool and drinks- the same thing you can get on the ship. Good luck. DeanneB
That is quite disappointing though. It does looks like a beautiful island, very serene. I can't believe they still have vaccination requirement.
kefthecruiser
Grand Turk is a beach stop. If your wife and daughter don't like beaches, you're good. If they enjoy laying on the beach, well... Better get them some OBC to splurge on board.
Kendall James-Vargas
Although Grand Turk is amazing, I'm sure you will find several other ways to unwind onboard the ship. On the bright side, you should have ample time to truly enjoy all of the onboard amenities. Hopefully you have a wonderful sailing!
DeanneB
Yeah GT is a beach stop. It can be pricey with all the activities, dining, and shopping on the beach. It can be a good opportunity to just lie down and swim.
KristineF
I'd be mad with envy, but you know, it is a beach. You can visit just visit another beach or island with none of this restriction which does not make sense, coz it is outdoors, it is beach stop.
Kendall James-Vargas
@KristineF That's very true. The restrictions do make it more difficult to explore but hopefully it's all temporary! I agree with @DeanneB, a relaxing swim sounds like a bright idea instead.
