@dad004 I used to live near Port Canaveral, and I was always fortunate enough to have a neighbor run me to the port. Having been there in the past, I would say there are several secure options once you arrive to the port, with ample parking. Since I haven't paid for parking at the port before, I'm not certain of what the costs would look like. In my opinion, the security and convenience of parking near the ship may be worth the slight additional price you may encounter. The pick-up and drop-off areas at the port can get chaotic anyways!
