Carnival Miracle to Hawaii Jan 9

This is a note to Carnival management regarding the 14-day January 9 cruise from Long Beach to Hawaii: 

I suggest that if the Jan. 9. cruise is canceled because of Hawaiian restrictions (like what just happened to the November cruise), that Carnival consider NOT breaking those 14 days into small cruises out of Long Beach, and instead create a 14-day cruise doing a partial transit of the Panama Canal, accessible from the Pacific side. In addition to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, you could add a couple more ports on the way down or back from Panama. That is not, if ever, done on most west coast cruises…usually a Canal cruise is a repositioning cruise…not round trip from Long Beach or San Diego.
I suggest that you might retain a significant number of those already booked on that January 9 cruise. Just a thought, Jack

John Heald said on his live post this morning that the January 6 cruise won't be cancelled. Not as good as Hawaii, but that would be better than breaking them all up!

it would have been nice for carnival to let us know i found out last night when i tried to pre register.

I sure hope the January 9th cruise to Hawaii does not get canceled!!!!  I like Jack's idea of doing the Panama Canal if it comes to that though.  Has there been any further updates?

Is there a certain amount of time that Carnival has to give if the cruise is going to be cancelled?  If it’s cancelled will the passengers be given a full refund or a will they be given the same deal that was received or this booking?

I like the idea of a partial Panama camel as an alternative if Hawaii is not open. I am on that cruise , and would stay on it.
