  1. @kefthecruiser I may have made a mistake with mahogany bay being Jamaica but I'm pretty sure I saw it. I just looked up honduras which is concering.... its level 3. Below is an out line posting proble.s With that said I still stand on my concerns with CCL not protecti g the best interest of its guests Honduras Safe for Americans? Country Summary: Violent crime, such as homicide, armed robbery, and kidnapping, is common. Violent gang activity, such as extortion, violent street crime, rape, and narcotics and human trafficking, is widespread. Local police and emergency services lack sufficient resources to respond effectively to serious crime.
  2. I could be wrong but It seems I read something about the whole customes thing.
  3. The other reason you cannot board after the ship leaves the U.S. is each passenger must clear U.S. customs when leaving and re clear when returning.
  4. It's sad the CCL is not taking g safe guards for the guests... but I'm not surprised since not stopping at amber cove would cost ccl a lot as they own the amber cove port and all the goodies that travelers spend on would stop coming in which would greatly effect the bottom line. It seems like CCL has taken the same position with Mahogany Bay Jamaica which the State Dept. Has specifically listed Mahogany Bay as level 4 do not travel. If you recall on my previous trip to Mazatlan it to was level 4 by state dept and the drug cartel was blowing things up near the airport and shootings but CCL still stop at the port and literally didn't make any announcements to guest going ashore. I really don't understand this policy...well actually I do...it's called money.
  5. @Kendall James-Vargas no I didnt see the article.... sometimes I scare myself 😂
  6. @Kendall James-Vargas yeah Haiti is a mess and in comple anarchy at this time. i am also concerned why CCL continues to go to Mahogany Bay (Jamaica) as Mahogany Bay is level 4 (highest threat level) and specifically listed by the State dept which is advised not to go. I'm certain that CCL can find more calm places to travel to that are equally or better.
  7. @Cruising Caribbean the weather for all stops was absolutely perfect. It was low 80's with light cloud cover and gentle breezes. It did rain briefly or should I say sprinkle. The light cloud cover made it nice not to feel the scoring sun... couple time in Grand Turk the clouds cleared for few minutes and could feel the intesity of the sun, but not to bad. I really think late February might be an ideal time to go to the Caribbean. In regard to the two trips I'm looking at I've not been on any of those ships nor stops with the exception of amber cove and San juan. The only reason I'm considering the 2nd itinerary is because of St. Marten and St. Thomas. When younger I remember thinking about and hearing about those 2 US virgin islands and they always seemed so cool and how only rich people got to go to them. lolol yeah ones young brain thinks about thinks in strange ways. Then Aruba ... I remember when much younger hearing the song Aruba, Jamaica blah blah blah and thinking how exotic it was. I'm open to hearing your experiences
  8. @RoadTravelled I echo everything you wrote, as you are 100% correct in your info regarding PVSA. I additionally agree with your warm hearted and sound suggestions. With my recent cruise where I flew from California to Port Canaveral (Florida) #1 I flew the day before unfortunately no direct flights. #2 I made sure I had additional flight options from the same carrier, 11 to be specific. #3 I made sure I was NOT flying through any snow or known heavy delay airports, thus I flew through Austin Texas. And last but not least I always have travelers insurance as one never knows might curve balls might happen despite great planning. Thanks for the great outline.
  9. Currently Haiti has serious rebel unrest and U.S. citizens and U.S. Embassies are being evacuated. The reason this is important is the port of Amber Cove is in Puerto Playa region in the Dominican Republic which is near the Haiti/D.R boarder. I would recommend serious caution about a visit to Amber Cove or any other part of Domican Republic. If U.S. people and Embassies are being evacuated then it's a serious situation and I've seen some news footage and looks pretty ugly. Simply wanted to give you all some heads up in case you didn't know and are getting ready to travel to Amber Cove. Don't rely on CCL posting any warnings or cautions.
  10. @Cruising Caribbean I did get a very good leg workout during san juan but I'm really glad I did the 3 mile walk as It was at my own pace, free, and I saw things that probably wouldn't have on an excursion or driver. As for favorit port that is difficult as I enjoyed each as ive never been to any of them so everything was new to me. San juan has so much history behind it, I felt very safe and still more to see so going g back to San Juan works for me without question. Aber Cove- dominican republic It felt familiar to me as it's very similar to the Philippines and I enjoyed my visits to P.I. and the regular every day people food etc, which I think that domican republic imulates. With that said domican republic has big risks and concerns for me, especially since Haiti shares a boarder with it and currently they are evacuati g u.s. citizens and embassies. I fear that it will add to what is already a borderline country. I do think D.R has much to see and experience. I just wish it was safer independently and as a whole. Grand Turk really not much happening g there unless you want to just hang out on the beach and drink, which really isn't my vibe. Since I've scuba dived it not sure that I have a real reason to return as nothing really left to draw me back. Have you been to dominican republic? I'm already booked for Sept Mexican Riviera and looking at Feb 2025 and considering two different itineraries but not sure which one yet 1. Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire 8 days CCL MAGIC 2. San Juan, st marten, st Thomas, amber cove. ( I would stay on ship at amber cove d.r.) 8 days CCL HORIZON OR VISTA I'm not familiar with any of the ships but they seem to be similar to the Panorama which I've been on. Have you been on any of these ships?
  11. As normal I am providing a indepth review of the ports I visited on my cruise that returned last week. It's hard to belive just last week I was in the Caribbean and now home. How time flys. SAN JUAN Puerto Rico I originally had a driver for several hours but that fell through just prior to my departure. I'm familiar that at each port there are always private guides that I might negotiate a ride service but as a safety line in a mad dash I jumped on the internet made notes as to all the sites I wanted to see then created a Google maps walking route then sent myself an email of the route for easy access to the route via link. One thing in my research on taxes is that tourist taxi can only charge $36 per hour...information is king. True to port form lots of independent people where offering ride services at the end of the pier. I was surprised how overly priced they where...$200 for 1 hour...for real life??? Yikes!!!! I did locate a tourist taxi and he wanted to charge $75 forn2 hours but wouldn't take just me and wanted to fill the car. No thanks. After 20 minutes of nonsense I decided to walk the 3 mile journey... I'm so happy I had the back up live/real time walking maps I created. Old San Juan has a lot to see and so much history and I will say walking was probably the better way to see and experience the area. I had marked out 13 stops. The walk for the most part was pretty easy but a couple of locations required to go up hill and I certainly felt the calf burn and ache. The area was very clean, never felt unsafe and people seemed very friendly. I saw all the major historic attractions and monuments that old san juan has to offer including going inside one of the forts from the 1800's in about 3 or so hours and never felt rushed. During the walk their are lots of park like benches so I could just take a rest for few minutes if needed and just take in the atmosphere...something that would have been missed by car tour. Old San Juan is such a tiny portion of Purto Rico and the island is large and has a lot more to see. I would certainly consider visiting again to explore different areas. AMBER COVE -Dominican Republic I had a private driver for 5 hours at this port, which I would recommend if you really want to see the real country and sites. The vehicle was a new van with blacked out windows, which was great for security reasons. This is certainly a 3rd world country in many aspects and it replicates the Philippines in sounds smells, drivers, structures, street vendors and many foods. It's a place that you will want to keep your head on a swivel and watch your surroundings. I never felt unsafe but at the same time it was a familiar feel to me as I've been to the Philippines several times and went into auto mode. India notice the driver stayed close by at all times and acted almost like security keeping me on a short leash watching the surroundings when out of the vehicle. Keep in mind Haiti boarders Dominican Republic and lots of issues in Haiti. During my visit I went to a cigar shop making cigars by hand, chocolate factory, umbrella street, amber museum, center town square, old fort, rum factory, cable car to top of mountain to see Jesus Statue and few other places. My favorite was the cable car. Amber history... Domican Amber comes in various colors, yellow and honey is the most common. In general it dates to several thousand years to millions of years old. The pieces for my mother would probably ly date back to several thousand years and my collector piece would be approx. 15 million years old. Amber is available for purchase in a lot of places but you need to be careful as a lot of fake amber exists. As always you can negotiate prices and I highly recommend. One place I looked at some and I really didnt see anything I truly want but asked the price on a piece. Initial prices was $250 I said no thanknyou and as walking away the vendor literally chased me down and kept dropping the price to the final price of $100... lol. Keep in mind if you do buy anything with CC they will add a CC processing fee, which is steep. The country certainly has some beautiful areas but also comes with some risks and concerns. Really unsure why Carnival would consider this a worthy/safe stop for its guests, other than it could buy land cheap develop the area hire people dirt cheap and make huge profits off the travelers.. Below are a couple pics of amber purchases I made... 1 for my mother and 2nd for my own collection. My mother's I 1st picked out the earrings then selected a neckless to add to it. Purchased the jewelry box on Amazon. The piece for me has insect and several ants in it, true collectors piece. I would NOT buy any amber at the port shops or the amber museum as they are way over priced. I did get the opportunity to try some local food from locations the locals would go, had empanadas and a fried chicken with plantains. The spices they use are different than in U.S. but pleasantly good Would I go back to DR...probably not. GRAN TURK Caicos Islands On this stop I went scuba diving off the coral shelf and the went to an uninhibited island to play with sting rays and have fresh conch ceveiche Upon arrival the 1st thing I noticed was how flat the island was and lacking in trees except near the port then how beautiful the water color was. On the way to the dive site did see a few structures that obviously where hit by hurricane and not repaired. I can only imagine how bad a hurricane would be on this island. The dive went well and saw plenty of colorful fish but I was a bit disappointed how non colorful the coral shelf was. I was expecting it to be full of colors but it was mostly grayish/white (coral only). Perhaps other areas are more colorful. The shelf was about 30 or so feet down then drops off to 700 feet then drops off into infinity... ekks. I stayed near the 30 foot range. The uninhibited island was pretty small the sand was super fine and soft with no trees as well. But it was a nice place to go, with it had some palm trees though as it really would have made it picturesque. Playing with the sting rays was amazing and they would swing all around you. They are so velvety soft. The conch cevechie was different. After returning to port I asked the captain where to get local food and was and he took me to local food. Had a curry BBQ chicken, coleslaw and red been and rice, all was delicious and only cost $10. Grand turk really doesn't have a lot to offer travelers to see or do other than the port area or water related. The island has been pretty hard hit by hurricane and hasnt recovered well. Ive heard that the wild donkeys can be dangerous as well. A recent artical I read regarding Grand Turk is that CCL is losing money at this port so I would imagine things may change or the stop possibly eliminated. Time will tell. Would I return to Grand Turk...probably not as not much else to see or do.
  12. @Kendall James-Vargas I did enjoy the ship very much and would cruise on it again. I didnt participate in any of the themed parties and honestly i really didnt see any posting for them, but im sure they exhisted. Now that I sit back and think on this I can't recall seeing any listing for them and I would look at the hub app every night. I did save all the daily paper schedules so I will see if any had been listed on them. I really think that the ship has so many food choices that the MDR is hardly on the radar compared to smaller ships that have fewer dining options which makes people focus more on the MDR. I agree with you that you and I are a fading breed... wanting to dress for the elegant nights, and wearing nice clothes on the other nights, but I still do it. I did thi k it was fu NY that on the 1st elegant night I was in my Tux and the cruise director also was wearing a Tux. When he saw me he stopped in his tracks smiled gave me the thumbs up and smiled and went on his way....lol I don't eat duck very often but when I can I will. I hope you get to have some soon. As for my favorite port...I will be writing g a review for the 3 ports soon...yep you have to wait 😆 @Krusty yes late at night I too saw long line for pizza maybe 10 people but one thing that was really Strang was they would rope off the line and a staff member would hand out pizzas to people rather than letting people just walk through and pick one up. Once I was waiting with an employee and I told him ive never seen this before on any of the cruises ive been on and seems very inefficient... his response was yeah ive never seen them do this before as well. Not sure what thwy where trying to do but it didn't work that well. What time did you try getting pizza?
  13. @3Sisters hello... the CCL bus service was $35 each way which is reasonable considering the distance. It would have cost me around $70 to take a lyft or uber. I have heard that it's cheaper to get a lyft or uber away from airport but I have not checked that out. I have heard that I could rent a car for $35-40 and drive it one way to the port area and they have a car rental office near the port. I would probably look into that next time. I agree with you that I wish the port was closer. I think with the high weekly number of people traveling to and from the cruise port (not just ccl) that the state might consider running a train line between the airport or near by and cruise port with no stops inbetween. I think the would be more efficient in moving people back and forth and allow the state to make a few bucks. What do you thinkabout those ideas?
  14. Hello thought some people might like to know what to expect from the CCL bus service to and from port/ Orlando Airport. For the 1st time out of all of the cruises I've been on I decided to give Carnivals bus transfer service to and from the port a try. To start off with the bus stall number is #4 located on level one for transportation in terminal B. Now the process... I flew in the night prior and expect most would as well. You will need to return to orlando airport terminal B and will be dropped off at the departures level. Then Take an elevator down to level 1. Depending on where you get dropped off it could be a very long walk as the check in counter is near bus stall is #4. Which is where you will board the bus. Check in process was fairly painless, give the your booking number and name then they give you a boarding ticket. Then you wait. Boarding tickets are different colors for different boarding times/bus. There was a large crowed waiting which I discovered that NCL boards bus at the same exact location. Someone from CCL will announce your ticket number and everyone lines up luggage in tow then drop off luggage next to bus and boards the bus and off to see the wizard you go. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the port. In my case I set a 10 a.m. boarding time arrived at 9a checked in and unfortunately the 1st bus was already full and did t get to leave until 10:30a. When arriving at the port you leave your bags at the bus and you start the boarding process. I had a priority boarding and literally as fast as I could walk is how long it took for me to be on the ship... maybe 10-15 minutes after arrival at port I was on the ship. I did see a line for non priority boarding which looked long and much slower. Debarkation for me was very simple, once more priority debarkation and I have TSA Pre Check along with passport, all of these items seem to help speed up all the processes boarding and debarkation along with airports. Night before I left luggage out in hall of cabin. Next morning (debarkation) I walked off the ship, found my luggage, walked to line for passport holders, someone scanned my face and off I went passing by customes, never needed to see a customs officer. I did see other going through actual customs. Located my bus to head back to airport got in line and off I went back to Orlando Airport terminal B to catch my flight home. I was off ship and at my bus in about 15 minutes. Port Canaveral for me was very streamlined in every aspect. With that all said I do make sure to adhear to customs limits and don't carry any questionable items in luggage. I do think because having a passport and going through the tsa pre check system also really aids in the security/customs process as you have to go through a background check with FBI and Homeland security, this is just a guess, but I've never been questioned about declaration or bags checked. Would I do it again? It depends on the port, timing, cost factors and hotel or no hotel. As for the system it seemed to work on this trip. Would be great to hear others experiences regarding Orlando Airport transportation to port and your Port Canaveral boarding experience. Final note... if my flight arrive early enough the day prior I would probably would catch an uber or other shuttle service to the Holiday Inn Express in Port Canaveral as it's located directly across the street from the port, the I would be less rushed/stressed could sleep in a bit, have decent breakfast and simply walk across the street check in bags and board.
  15. @Cruising Caribbean nice to hear you chime in. Yes the ship was certainly designed for the large number of guests so not to feel over crowded with the one exception is the lido deck is simply way to small. Below are a few pics of the sail away party. I disnt actually use any of the pools, not a real big pool person, but did try out a couple Jacuzzis. I think that the reason for so few people in the MDR was not because of the buffett but rather due to so many other food options/restaurants. I did meet some really.nice people like I do every cruise. The one dish from MDR that was a stand out for me was the roasted duck which I will post a pic below, yes I took a pic of my dinner 😆
  16. Wow after re reading my post I had so many typos. It was getting late and big fi gers on small phone keyboard don't always mix well sorry about that. @RoadTravelled I had no idea that the cabins flipped flopped like that...this is interesting and will certainly try and figure this out for up coming cruises. Ive never had a room set up like this previously. Is it o ly the excel class ships that have this switch up designs??? As for your prize i have attached it below To save on postage and your ability to get it right away. 🤣 The next ship isn't the Venezia but rather the Firenze but I'm sure thwy are very similar to each other in many ways, with one big exception of the David statue returning. Did the Celebration also have the center stage like the Mardi Gras??? I really did enjoy this ship and liked how each of the main decks 6-8 you could walk from bow to stern which made it easy to get around verses some other ships (panorama) that you can not and makes a nightmare to get around. What ship are you going on next?
  17. Yes I have returned safe and sound and bummed that I have to once more make my own bed , cook my own food, and wash my own dishes 😅 As most of the long timers here on the board know my deal... for the new comers I like to post a comprehensive review of the size , layout, primary decks, food service & quality, yes the good and not so good about the ships I sail on....so here we go. I will begin with, this is the largest ship to date that I have sailed on. It carries 5300 guests and 1900 crew. Yes it is a monster. It has 22 different food locations including free & fee, which I will say of the 22 food locations majority are free. Tons of bars and places to get a drink. This ship has 18 decks. deck 18 can only be reached by stairs. Which accesses the water slides, roller coaster, 18 hole mini golf, and serenity adults only area. Initially i was concerned about the ship being so large that it would be difficult to navigate but much to my surprise i found it rather easy as the primary decks are 6,7,8 and 16,17,18. In my case decks 6-8 and 16 were the main decks I typically visited. Various food choices were on those 4 decks as well. Deck 16 is the lido and in typical fashion it had few bars, pool, several food choices and sun deck. I was surprised by the number of swimming pools and hot tub. This ship so many hot tubs in different locations and decks it was hard to keep track of them all. The ship being a newer ship was clean bright and a nice change from the typical CCL color patterns. It seemed to be a bit more upscale and less "fun ship" which was ok with me. I never saw anything looking worn out and things seemed in good working order for the most part. Lots of elevators and not the "smart" ones. They all seemed to work just fine and typically not a long wait either. One thing that set this ship apart from most other is its center stage with huge windows looking out to the ocean which converts to a stage at night. It's a bit strange as it's suppose to be the focal point in the ship, which it kinda is but isn't. Typically you have a main atrium with a bar which become a nice gathering spot, but on this ship you really don't have that. Most of the time you simply pass it by going to another location. The only time it really gets any real attention is during stage shows, which @RoadTravelled pointed out to me previously was kind of difficult to gain a good viewing location as people camped out to get the prized spots. The ship does have a main theater like most ships but sadly nothing really took place in it and never saw it, seems to be a huge waste of ships space and I think the main shows would have been more enjoyable to be seen in it. Despite having around 7k people on the ship it really never felt really over crowded except during the going away party on the lido as it seemed to be a bit small for the amount of people and was very.crowded. I finally had the chance to experience the new dinner menu in the MDR. I ate in the MDR 6 of the 7 dinners. The food choices certainly changed and I would say for the most part for the better. The roasted duck was yummy and would eat that everytime. Thwy brought back the beef wellington and that was good as well. With the exception of one dinner I was satisfied and had no major complaints...yes i know surprise surprise... its a Christmas Mirical. Lolol CCL is certainly trying to improve the meals and it showed. One thing I was really surprised by was how many empty or 1/2 empty tables there where every night. I think this had to do with all the other food choices for other to go to on the ship and MDR was not the choice. I love formal/elegant nights and was kind of a buzz kill to walk into a half empty dining room. I was at a 6 person table and 1 solo person showed every night one couple showed for 1st 2 nights and never seen again and the other couple only showed up on last 2 nights. As for MDR staff thwy we're nice but not that friendly and frequently mixed up orders and never once asked if I would like something to drink and even after ordering a couple times never remembered for the next time. Staff in general were nice but not that welcoming. I only saw my room steward the 1st day and never again, which was weird and very unusual. Cabin- as typical I had a balcony cabin, and was pleasantly surprised by the newer color plate vs the orange. The bathroom had a actual shower door v. A curtain but it actually felt smaller than other ships that ive been on. I found that I wanted to leave the bathroom door open when I was in it as it felt very crampt/tight. I am NOT a fan of the new room layout were the bed is in the front and couch by balconyas its really tight to walk by the bed to get to the couch and overall made it felt odd and bit difficult to maneuver around the room. The balcony was great, it was super sized and had a full size lounger 3 chairs and table with plenty of space to walk. It also has a new door design, it's like a sliding class door vs a man door and if I want to keep it open it would stay open. Room has great lighting, plenty of cabinet space and they have changed the bed frame which now luggage slides under very easily. Restaurants, the casino comped me for any place of my choice with bottle of wine, I selected Rudy's and yes @RoadTravelled you won the bet. It is well worth going even if you have to pay $50 per head, lucky for me I didn't have to pay. I had oysters on half shell, cioppino, crab cake, and lobster and chocolate truffle cake. All Delicious!!! I had two table staff and thwy we're on point the whole time. The lead asked me what wine I would like and was not sure about one I was looking at she brought me a small sample... yuk so ordered one I knew. Soon after was told thwy we're out of it and asked if I would likento select another and I said I would just take a screw driver instead. Few minutes later she came back and said she was able to find my wine selection at one of the other restaurants and would have them bring it up. Impressive! Chibang restaurant, this is the place you can order Chinese or Mexican I selected the Mexican carnitas bowl and flan. This is money of my go to dishes for Mexican. I was grossly disappointed as on my 1st bit it was obvious that flavor cross contamination was happening as it has a hint of Chinese flavoring...sigh then came the carnites which where simple chunks of poorly flavored pork. Carnitis is suppose to be slow cooked then pulled apart then lightly grilled to give a slight crispness. The flan was on point and very good. I would not go back to chibang Guys pig and actor, blue iguana, guys burgers all good as normally are. Japanese cook at your table - had before and seemed to be a little less than prior..but I was feeling a bit burned out by then so could have just been me. Food was good though. Buffet not on top of my list for food and this trip didn't change my mind food was blah at best. Will go sometimes for breakfast but this time wasn't able to as it seemed to be the go to place and was way over crowded. Casino largest casino I've seen on a cruise ship it consumed a good portion of the deck 7 and was full every night. Yeah I was part of that crowed 😆 🤣 Wifi not sure why but the ships wifi kept going out which made things difficult for the CCL Hub app which allows you to see and plan things. Bars and entertainment was good some of the batmrs actually were really decked out and had cool vibs Shows only saw a couple mostly because I didn't want to camp out for a seat. What I did see was decent and step up from other recent ships I've been on. Spa had to massages both good similar to being on shore, I did this tile along the top of check in form you have to fill out "not interested in any products just massage" and not one thing was tried to be sold to me which was nice as didn't feel all stressed out from the hard sells pitch. Conclusion- yes the Mardi Gras is a huge ship, really never felt over crowded despite all the people on it. Room design/setup is horrible, reverse couch and bed and would be great. Food as a whole was much improved and plenty to be had even at 12 a.m. and who doesn't like free soft serve ice cream and cookies for late night snack. Lots of activities to keep one busy during the day including free ones. Wish thwy used the main theater vs. Center stage final word - Would I sail on Mardi Gras again...yes without a doubt as it has so much to offer and never felt overly crowded. Wish I had tried a few more restaurants....next time Next ship will be the Firenze and looking forward to being on it and trying out a "Fun Italian Ship"
  18. @Kendall James-Vargas I'm currently on the Mardi Gras 2nd sea day so will be sometime before I give the full run down on the Mardi Gras but certainly will I cluding the new dining menu...I've been taking notes lol yes its a huge ship, ive certainly got my steps in... you would be exhausted from running up and down all the stairs... only 18 decks 🤣 gotta go for now
  19. The only problem I've seen with CCL anytime dining is they make you use the hub app to say you're ready to be seated and usually there is a large crowd waiting g to get in so you end up waiting 30-60 minutes utes to get seated. I personally select early dining as this allows a lot more flexibility for shows, comedy clubs and other activities. I do agree at times it does at times creat a short window between re boarding at a port and dinner and it makes it usually difficult to see sunsets. I guess I pick my battles.
  20. @Kendall James-Vargas I know you're on your cruise and getting close to its end as mine is just 3 days away and we where a week a part, but wanted to respond. Yes I too am pumped as I originally saw the David statue 13 or more years ago on my 1st or 2nd cruise. It will be nice to see it again and will probably ly cause a pause to reflect upon time gone by. I hope you had a wonderful trip got all your girly stuff going on along with toes in the warm sand.
  21. Yep I'm going to see it and welcome the old friend being back... it will bring me back to.the 1st.time I saw it on my 1st or 2nd cruise around 13 or more years ago.
  22. @Peter Weber I agree with @kefthecruiser take a taxi or uber, however i would add this bit of an idea, you will most likely get off the ship early and will have couple hour or longer depending on you embarkation time so you could stop at a local area restaurant or Cafe for cup of coffee and breakfast and just relax then take a taxi or uber to your next cruise ship. Makes no sense to arrive way early advance your boarding slot and just stand around.
  23. While few details have yet been revealed about what Carnival Firenze will offer, one iconic element is known – the replica of the famous Michelangelo David sculpture is being installed on the ship. The art piece was formerly on Carnival Pride, but was removed when that ship was renovated in May 2023. Carnival Firenze is scheduled to welcome her first guests on April 25, 2024, an earlier-than-originally-planned inaugural sailing. The ship will be homeported from Long Beach, California, offering 3-7 night Baja and Mexican Riviera itineraries
  24. ITS OFFICAL!!! The David Statue will be on the Firenze. Below is a small snippet regarding the Firenze in dry dock While few details have yet been revealed about what Carnival Firenze will offer, one iconic element is known – the replica of the famous Michelangelo David sculpture is being installed on the ship. The art piece was formerly on Carnival Pride, but was removed when that ship was renovated in May 2023. 25. @Kendall James-Vargas the offers I posted is under "new cruiser" post
