  1. @FJB I did that one. Thought it was going to be tricky but nailed it. Bring it on ha ha
  2. @FJB that made me laugh. Very good name that I will remember next time I have Mexican food. @Kendall James-Vargas I took your advice, and watched the first episode of games of thrones. I thought I may as well watch one thing she has been in at least, and well.. 😍🫣😳 I wasn't expecting to see as much of her as I thought.
  3. @3Sisters agreed 100%. And financially if they don't make as much money that the company wants or rather need to keep things afloat, then cuts will be made. Guest prices will go up, and staff jobs will be gone.
  4. It is a very sad state of affairs that we are seeing. Life I find is precious and it is heartbreaking when other people don't think so and that their lives don't matter. If only these people who jump overboard can see the pain they are leaving behind. I guarantee they will be deeply missed.
  5. @Kendall James-Vargas very good point. Actually I have not seen games of thrones, I have no idea why. As people say to me, it has Emilia Clarke and dragons, so what's the problem. I have never ever seen anything that she's been in if I'm honest.
  6. @Kendall James-Vargas it is fun, especially after a couple of drinks. If two witches were watching two watches, which witch would watch which watch?
  7. But on the flip side, you can celebrate Christmas on the beach as the weather will be fantastic. Going for a dip in the sea without freezing your ... Fingers shall we say.
  8. I struggled to read that very sentence there. Put teeth back in and try again.
  9. Yes I can't see the need to keep getting bigger other than massaging the ego and patting the back of the ones who are running the cruise lines, as they feel the need to be number 1. There is so many knock on effects with these larger ships, from customer service, to possible empty rooms as they will struggle to always fill the staterooms, environment could possibly have an effect, as surely what could happen to the seas when you have these huge ships constantly sailing back and forth.
  10. @Cruising Caribbean @Seaawgs I tried saying that tongue twister, and it's hard to say. I wonder if anyone has other challenging tongue twisters?
  11. Surely they can't keep getting bigger. They are big enough as it is. It may sound and look appealing to the customer, but as we've already stated on these forums, customer service is pretty low as it stands. So if we were to go bigger, then there would require a substantial increase in the quality needed onboard, which as it stands, I can't see happening.
  12. Fortunately snakes in the UK are not venomous, so people may not like them as such, but the thought of not dying from a bite isn't that bad. Australia they do have deadly snakes as @PaulB mentions, which in truth will terrify me to my soul.
  13. @FJB I tend to agree with you there. If Emilia Clarke was anywhere near the scene, I'd be swimming my way over to her.
  14. @Cruising Caribbean what sort of extra help would you like to see? It would be fantastic if the whole world got together to try and maintain this, but mental health I fear will get worse because of the atrocities of the world, and the daily stresses that we all receive.
  15. I remember looking into it many years ago and surprised at the costs. If my memory serves me correctly, I could swear it was in the region of £4000 per person. So with those sort of costs, I'd not only expect fine dining in its fullest, I'd want the carriage to take home too.
  16. Such a sad state of affairs. Mental health affects a lot of people, and it's horrible to see such dark thoughts take over.
  17. It's a train ride that costs thousands per person from Paris through to Romania in Europe, visiting Vienna and Germany. I'm not sure if it's still possible to go on now. The standards were high on the train, with food fine dining and silver spoon service.
  18. You pay for what you get. I understand it's a difficult time with finances, however if you pay little, then you get little. It's the fact of the world unfortunately.
  19. Yes cleaner living than most. Value for money is another big thing over there. In the UK, prices are ridiculously high and you certainly do not get what you pay for.
  20. Good answers all round. I would love to try all these destinations. There is something unique about any of these, whether it's a sun filled holiday, or more of a city break vacation.
  21. We all have a slight obsession with our phones, but we also need to recognise the time to step away from it.
  22. I totally agree with you @PaulB. Stop being snobs and have some manners towards the food put in front of you.
  23. Mostly, you need to understand what type of place you are going to. If it's mass produced, and free for you to go up as many times as you want, then honestly, do not expect fine dining. I find the foods onboard as a buffet is edible and it is what it is.
  24. Our phones do take over our lives. I do everything from online banking, shopping, organising, everything. However to truly appreciate your vacation, you need to let go. I have no interest in paying bills or arranging appointments when away with my family. These things can certainly wait for my return home.
