  1. I'm glad some islands fight to survive keep their location environmentally free from large ships. Yes, it brings in finances and keeps the economy rolling, but their island is being destroyed, and then what will happen. It will have to be abandoned in the future because the reason passengers are going for is the beauty of the place.

  2. We haven't gone and booked MSC as previously discussed. We decided again to go on P&O. We do love the ships, and think it's so beautiful, we decided on this occasion to go back on it. Maybe after that we will look into going somewhere else.

  3. I don't see the issue for them. I can understand why companies don't like them if they are to cause damage and maintenance will constantly have to repair that, but if there is a decorating package onboard, that will be better as the companies know what to expect.

  4. It's very easy to over drink without realising when your enjoying yourself or in good company. It's always as you get up to leave when you realise that you may have had enough to drink

  5. I've read that some cruise lines ban the decorations on doors etc. it's such a great idea that you can get a decorating package, as a lot of people go onboard to celebrate an occasion, so to start the vacation off with a surprise is the best way to do that.

  6. That's the issue with alcohol, it makes you feel and believe you are unbreakable if you drank enough. It pushes your senses, and unfortunately some want that slight push to do the unthinkable.

  7. Unless something drastic happens, it's unfortunate that it will only get much worse and mental health will have a increase. It's a domino effect that will keep going, until something happens to take that domino away.

  8. It doesn't bear thinking about. Each company will want to get bigger and better than the last, and I fear it will be relentless. I could see that image being real, and have a mega ship in a similar mould. They call cruises city on the sea now, I wonder how many the future can hold.

  9. Are many overboards accidental? I can imagine a few maybe after a few drinks and doing something silly that can cause you to go over, however it is quite hard to actually go over the side unless you put yourself into that situation.

  10. I totally agree and with you on that. Condolences to his loved ones I'm sure. I read that the coast guard spent a long time searching, and unfortunately to no avail. It deeply saddens me to hear of such things.
