  1. @Danae I would love for you to share the photos and videos you have. What an incredible experience to be able to witness this. @PaulB Yes, I don't think everyone has the same onion about this topic. I certainly believe in the importance of assisting refugees, but it does impede on the cruise vacation experience to some degree.
  2. @PaulB Personally, I don't think I would use the full benefit of a private pool. A private jacuzzi on the other hand, that could be pretty relaxing in the evening time. I usually try to avoid the public jacuzzis during the evening, but I think I would use a private one much for due to convenience.
  3. @Cruisin K Man I am very surprised you were not informed of any itinerary changes prior to embarkation. I find that a bit odd, unless these changes occurred after embarkation. Usually when I book a cruise, I am notified of the itinerary changes via email. Could you expand on what changes were made on your NCL cruise? @DJS Thanks for expanding further one this! I would say the cruise line should offer some sort of alternative option, or potentially some sort of cruise credit due to this change. At least the portion of the service fees could be refunded. I absolutely agree. What a shame you were unable to visit the DR during that cruise.
  4. @Casual Cruiser I'm glad I am not the only one! If I stay sedentary, I think I would end up waddling off the ship by the end of the cruise. @FJB That's a great way to take advantage of both options. That's what the elevators are for! @PaulB There are always so many options at the buffet, but french fries are by far my favorite! I will go back for a midday snack and load up on the fries.
  5. @HuliHuli Thanks for sharing that information! @BrianF I guess it may be more of a practical design feature! @CruiseCaptainI think that's a great point. I didn't even think of the relationship of the bow shape and LNG ships.
  6. @Lesa Murray You have some valid points! I personally try to avoid the smokers section because I don't smoke, but I think it's important the larger ships attract a more diverse crowd. Maybe cruising with another smaller cruise line could more accurately meet some of these expectations! Have you considered cruising with another cruise line in the past?
  7. @RoadTravelled I saw that Carnival Celebration was the first ship to offer the Golden Jubilee! This would be especially cool if you have longevity cruising with the line. Were you able to experience some live music in the Golden Jubilee? The views of the Patio Pool sound amazing! I love a pool that isn't overly crowded. I will actually avoid the pools during peak hours just to have a more peaceful experience.
  8. @FJB The AzAmazing evening sounds so fun! Was that a themed night onboard? It looks like the fleet's Atlas Bar would make anyone want to get the unlimited beverage package. https://www.cruisehive.com/azamara-brings-new-atlas-bar-to-its-entire-fleet/79176 The beverage packages for Azamara seem really reasonably priced! https://www.azamara.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/beverage_onboard_flyer_jun2021_web.pdf
  9. @FJB I can't say I'm surprised. You definitely know how to plan an unforgettable cruise experience. I'm a breakfast person, and Blu's breakfast looks phenomenal. When you cruise in AquaClass, will you dine at Blu at least once a day?
  10. Would you prefer a private pool or jacuzzi for your balcony stateroom? I think I would rather have a private jacuzzi!
  11. @FJB I immediately thought of that inflatable on the balcony! I wonder what sized pools would fit on the balconies? https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/suite-class/edge-villa I found some info from Celebrity Cruises. I think I'm going to post the question: Would you prefer a private pool or jacuzzi for your balcony stateroom?
  12. @3Sisters There were so many additions made to the Navigator of the Seas not long ago! Here are some updated things to do while onboard the renovated ship. https://www.cruisehive.com/best-things-to-do-on-royal-caribbeans-navigator-of-the-seas/38576
  13. Which is your favorite Carnival Cruise Line specialty restaurant?
  14. @FJB That is not good news! I really hope the market doesn't continue on this track. Let's just keep hoping they will make a quick rebound in no time. I think you need to tell your broker she/he needs to start booking more cruises!
  15. @FJB The beaches are just so lovely there! I hope you have a great time. You are only 2 months out. The Blu restaurant looks so delicious. It says its only for AquaClass members though. I guess that makes it pretty exclusive. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/eat-and-drink/restaurants-and-cafes/blu
  16. @FJB Which ship did you cruise on with Azamara? What were some of your favorite experiences onboard?
  17. @Emrys I didn't even think of that. I would imagine it could be a bit dangerous on choppy days at sea. On the other hand, a lazy river is one of the best ways to relax! It would be a hit for sure.
  18. @Emrys I agree! It looks like Rudi's Seagrill is currently on Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras, but it will also be featured on the new Carnival Jubilee! https://www.carnival.com/cruise-food/rudis-seagrill
  19. @Emrys I agree Freeport isn't my favorite, although I see Florida departing itineraries that stop there quite frequently!
  20. @Kellys Usually when I cruise with MSC Cruises the crew does an exceptional job at being flexible with any specific stateroom cleaning requests you may have.
  21. @Kellys I think this depends on the cruise line. Which cruise line will you be cruising with? From my experience, the room is usually cleaned mid morning and refreshed in the afternoon as well.
  22. @Blue Shirt It would something completely new for me! I have never cruised in Asia before. Are the menu offerings and entertainment choices different from the U.S. departing cruises? @Bourbon Believer That's a great question. I'm assuming the cruise line tired to pivot in order to generate more money. Right now the cruise protocols in Asia are pretty intense.
  23. @3SistersThanks! I'm usually the go to travel planner in my family too; however, it's hard to get my family to commit to anything that's more than six months out.
  24. @3Sisters I just found this link to some of the ship's stateroom options. It looks like the Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony Stateroom (IB) is a new style of stateroom that would be perfect for a family larger than four! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/10/21/guide-icon-of-the-seas-cabins-and-suites
