Cruise Hive Boards

Having booked a Princess cruise on Coral Princess on 22nd July some time ago , we are now facing a cuise on a ship whose two previous sailings have had in excess of 100 reported covid  cases on board. We both have underlying medical conditions and are worried about becoming infected on this cruise.  Princess have given assurances that all is well, but they said that for the previous sailings as well. The Princess representative I spoke with when I attempted to cancel, told me that cancellations were not permitted less than 30 days prior to sailing. So it seems that we have no option but to risk infection and travel.

That is quite a predicament.  I hope you do still enjoy your cruise.  I know the mask is only required for non-vaccinated guests, but it will not hurt to mask up, especially in closed spaces, and spray alcohol often.  I have had Covid twice already, and both times it was bearable and mild but the first one was a pain and scary.  The second infection was more bearable It feels like flu but with a more painful headache. Not as scary because I know what to expect already and know what to do.  Always carry your meds, all your maintenance meds just in case.
