Cruise credit after hitting iceberg

Our cruise was cancelled after Norwegian Sun hit an iceberg

we were told in letter from the captain that we will receive a full refund plus a credit for a future cruise, to the value of the price we paid $2249.00

was told today that refund being processed, and a credit will be issued to the value of $1523 , 65% of the original price!…. What are you playing at NCL?

tried calling… default message advised to make contact on line…4 attempts rejected…file too big?

@John Bradshaw that is possible for NCL to honor the refund and cruise credit if it was announced in a letter.  I just wanted to know if the captain has authority regarding refunds?  I don't think the captain will send the letter out if it was not on the table.

Having a similar issue. Received our refund but our credits towards a future cruise were way less than what we paid.
