Sadder but wiser Posted April 5, 2022 Share Posted April 5, 2022 Norwegian Escape was cancelled for the April 2nd sailing. Norwegian says they contacted all the passengers and let them know of the cancellation. My wife and I flew to Orlando and waited at the airport for the Norwegian shuttle for several hours before we found out the cruise had cancelled. We never received an email or text from Norwegian that the cruise was not going out. It cost us extra to fly home because of the fare difference, plus the other expenses we incurred which we would not have if we had been informed ahead of time (like they said they did). Norwegian basically told us "tough luck" on getting any reimbursement for these expenses. Even though they promise a refund and 50% credit of a future cruise, I think we are finished with Norwegian.
