Mrs.T
Hi All - I received an e-mail today that my excursion to St. John, along with a couple of other previously offered excursions, during a USVI stop scheduled for July has been canceled due to "operational needs." The message does not indicate that the port stop will no longer be made. I called NCL to try to get any additional insight, options, potential for change before sailing and made no progress. The website hasn't even been updated to reflect the same content shared in the NCL e-mail about the cancellation. I can't find anything on-line indicating USVI is limiting/restricting cruise ships for any reason. At this point the trip is fully paid and the destination we based our trip around appears to no longer a possibility. Since we are also scheduled to stop in the British Virgin Islands - is it even a possibility to attempt booking a private trip over to St. John's? Anyone have creative ideas or know anything more? What's going on with the USVI Excursions? Thanks!
Emrys
Hi @Mrs.T, that's very odd, I haven't heard anything about this happening in St. John. Maybe it's just related to the local situation or that those excursions closed due to the pandemic, they just don't want to go into details about it. I'll keep an eye out for any developments.
Linusmom
There are ferries going to St John every hour. No need for an excursion... 1
