howiefrommaui Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Hopefully the kind folks at Carnival will pursue the " YouTube refill water bottle" thief by using the tools of facial recognition they have at their disposal, find them and prosecute or ban them, and their cabin mates, from ever sailing aboard a CCL vessel ever again. Nasty, Filthy and Disgusting people like them do not deserve to sail on ANY cruiseline. 1 1 1 Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted April 19 Posted April 19 @howiefrommaui Facial recognition is a great tool that helps us all stay safe (and in line) onboard our cruises. I agree that thieves should be held accountable for their actions and banned from cruising due to breaking the rules. It's very upsetting that guests think this is a good strategy to get free drinking water onboard. This water bottle tampering can potentially cause harm to other future cruisers and it is quite infuriating to watch. Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted May 9 Posted May 9 @howiefrommaui This was so disturbing to watch. It's pretty bold to put this video out to the public. It's as if she had no shame. Instead of potentially harming another guest, she could have just filled up her single bottle in the refill station. This is an act of theft. I agree, there should be ramifications for her actions. The cruise line should be able to ban this guest without an issue. Quote
3Sisters Posted June 10 Posted June 10 @howiefrommaui You don't have to worry any longer! The guest who did this has officially been banned. What she did was totally unethical and I'm glad the cruise line made this decision. Everyone wants to save money, but being criminal isn't the way to go about it. This could be very harmful to others and I hope no one else does this. Quote
FJB Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Carnival seems to draw the scum of the earth passengers, more so than other cruiselines https://www.cruisehive.com/carnival-debunks-smoking-hacks-with-severe-consequences/136777 1 Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted June 11 Posted June 11 @FJB I have heard many cruisers call CCL the "Walmart" of cruising. It's been a while since I chose to cruise with the line, but I hate to think of Carnival that way! I have had some lovely CCL cruises and I know the line is really impressive at attracting quite a crowd. Based on the variety of price points CCL offers, I can see how you may feel this way. CCL does end up coming up in the news for the wildest reasons. Smoking onboard a ship is a hard pass for me. Smoking illegally onboard is a whole other dimension of wrong in my book. I don't understand why guests go out of their way to break the rules. It's not respectful to the cruise line or other guests and it ultimately devalues that person. There is no need to break policy! 1 Quote
