JimR Posted February 1 Posted February 1 NCL just notified customers that they are cancelling all Greenland ports call and some in Iceland for June sailings due to "seasonal weather implications that may impact our ability to call to Greenland." How can they possibly know what the weather will be 5 months in advance? Is this a one off or is NCL pulling out of the Greenland market? 1 Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted February 2 Posted February 2 @JimR It's a bummer that guests have received this cancellation alert. You never know with NCL. It could be too costly or difficult to travel there. I have a hard time accepting the weather implications reasoning. https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/18/world/greenland-ice-sheet-warming-climate/index.html There are reports of the extreme warmth Greenland is experiencing. This is likely what NCL is using as an excuse to make these itinerary changes. I wonder if other cruise lines will be following suit. Quote
