NCL Pearl Jan. Itinerary change

I just got word that my Pearl cruise in January will go to Cabo Rojo instead of Puerto Plata. Anyone know about that new DR port? I heard it is just opening and I hope it’s pretty and a fun destination even if we’re not going on an excursion.

@CatCoo I haven't been to Cabo Rojo before, but I think you are going to love it. I have loved Puerto Plata every time I visited. There is so much to do and explore in the DR! It feels so safe to explore there; you probably wouldn't need to book an excursion. Do you know if Ocean World is an excursion option? I have enjoyed it in the past.

Thanks for your thoughts! I’m sure Cabo Rojo will be a great stop for us- as long as it’s completed by our January 2nd cruise!!

@CatCoo Phase 1 should be completed by then! You may be one of the first cruise ships to dock there.
