Chrystal Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Can anyone tell me of closed ports to cruise ships in the Caribbean? 1 Quote
Emrys Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 That's a good idea, we should start a list to keep track. I know San Juan is closed if cruise ships can't comply with certain requirements. I think a lot depends on a ship by ship bases for many Caribbean ports. Quote
dreamer57 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 That is a good topic. Any info on South Pacific Islands? We cruise on 10/3/22 and I see that several islands are listed as gray on the CDC website. Quote
Emrys Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 I haven't heard anything at the moment. Each nation is different and protocols are constantly changing. Even if the CDC is not recommending to travel to a certain destination, cruises can still go. Quote
Queen B Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Port Stanley, Falkland Islands recently reopened its port with new laws and MAJOR RESTRICTIONS. It is only open to ships no larger than 533 passengers, ship must be 14d into its sailing before docking there and have zero covid cases. This is 1 of only 4 or 5 ports of call on a 2 week Antarctica cruise. That bars all major cruise lines. But, 533 passengers is the largest of the expedition cruise ships. So they are not affected.
