I was so intrigued to read about how ships handle sewage and waste onboard. The Cruise Hive article I read states that non-recyclable waste ends up being incinerated. This is a pretty environmentally sustainable option. The water treatment systems onboard are so intense! I really had no idea our wastewater was filtered this way on board. This just goes to show how intricate and amazing cruise ship designs really are. Did anyone else find this info super eye-opening?
