Kim
Will the cancellation policy be extended? We are supposed to leave 1/22/22 and 2 of our party have COVID Edited January 5, 2022 by Kim wrong date
Chrystal
As of last night, Carnival gave me 3 options. 1. Cancel my cruise and receive a full refund. 2. Cancel and get a FCC. 3. Switch cruise boats. All without any penalties. If you are having trouble calling Carnival, you can always punch the button to "cancel your cruise" and they will answer. 🙂 Hope this helps! Chrystal
Are you sailing on the Horizon?
Kim
Yes, Horizon. I think we were able to cancel. Unfortunately, we used a family member/travel agent and I held for carnival for 1.5 hours and they could not tell me much because of the agent booking it. I was able to go online and submit a cancellation but have not gotten any confirmation yet.
Chrystal
I feel better cruising on the Horizon on that date because we are going to be the very first sailing since the dry dock. Since most of the positive cases are crew members, I would think they would be in quarantine beforehand, hence not having any issues. That is assuming, that the mechanical issue are fixed. Kim
We cancelled but it looks like the Horizon is in the water and no longer dry docked:-)

jneeley
Question for Carnival or whoever......... I was wondering if crew members have the same covid saslfety protocols/requirements in place as guests? Meaning, do they have to get vaccinated and provide proof of a negative test 2 days prior?? Chrystal
I have "heard" that the crew members are tested several times a week, whether or not they have symptoms or not.
