Smoking change

I have been on 2 cruises with carnival since September and now with the new rule of not smoking in casino it will be a long time till I cruise again with them. I have used Carnival quite a bit but now they are not on my list.

I have been on 15 Carnival cruises - have always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and value.  The CDC has the cruise industry running scared, as they can ruin their business with ANY arbitrary order they wish.  It has now become necessary for Carnival to anticipate what the "next" thing form CDC will be and implement beforehand.  So now smoking in the casino is too dangerous without any real data to indicate smoking is any more dangerous than drinking their drinks (which is a profit center for them) with masks off.  I have had a cruise cancelled last September and have 3 booked for 2022.  We will see if cruising is still fun under these lockdown conditions ...perhaps not.  Too bad consenting adults cannot make decisions for themselves these days.

Yes in total agreement on this subject! I’m done with Carnival since they have stopped smoking in the casino. I’m already booked for December 23 and January 10 but after that no more Carnival Cruises for me. If they allow smoking again I’ll come back but not until then.

I'm going on a cruise to Jamaica , if there is no smoking in the casino then is their other designated area for smoking?

Yes they will still have outdoor smoking areas.

i personally am glad they have banned smoking in the Casinos. This is to the person who ask what’s the difference between drinking a drink with mask off and smoking. Drinking doesn’t emit spews of smoke coming from their mouth. Just look how far your smoke goes when you blow it out.  Last I heard this virus is spread by breathing an infected persons sickness.  I’m sick of going back to my cabin and having to shower because my cloths and hair stink of smoke!

Smoking is bad. Good people smoke as well as many who do not. I enjoy the Casino more now that Smoking has been halted. However, Carnival Madi Gras has done a wonderful thing,  the ship has a smoke free and a Smoking allowed casinos,  Fantastic.

I feel this is going to be a limited time before it starts back up but I'm glad for the no smoking.  Now I can go to the Casinos and leave smoke free.

I too am so happy they have halted smoking. I used to cross above or below a floor to get around the nasty stink of the casino. Passive smoke can be very harmful to the non-smoker. Smoking causes many illnesses. And a smoking section in a casino is like peeing in the pool. You're just not safe from it. It's one thing to choose to destroy your own health but smoking indoors destroys others health as well.

It's about time they changed the smoking policy.  For those of us, that don't smoke, why should we be subjected to breathing cigarette smoke.  It stinks and isn't healthy.  Hopefully they will continue the No Smoking policy.  There are outside smoking areas, where only those that wish to be around it will be...

I just got off the Sunshine and smoking was permitted in the casino. There were also outdoor smoking areas on decks 3 and 10.
