Royal Caribbean Cruise Tips

Does anyone have any tips for cruising with Royal Caribbean? I'm particularly interested in any money-saving tips, such as pre-board purchases that may be worthwhile.

We have had success waiting till day of boarding for a discount on specialty dining on the 1st night. But it has been 3 years since we have cruised so not sure it that is still a thing.

@FJB Thanks for that. I will save my specialty dining purchases for the first day of sailing! I also haven't cruised the line since my honeymoon. That's why I am searching for some current tips.

Pre-booked a four course lunch that featured items from each of the specialty restaurants. Was economical and worthwhile.
