Daranddel
Husband and I will both be on scooters. Is it difficult to travel together on elevators? Is there a special designated elevator. We will be on the new carnival ship cruising from Miami late Dec to first week in Jan.
DeanneB
I think you will need to make sure that the cabin you booked will be accessible cabins especially when both guests are bringing their own scooters. Yes, Carnival has a larger elevator specifically for mobility accessibility. They also have specifications on the size and the if the scooters can be folded. They have more information on this on their link, https://www.carnival.com/about-carnival/special-needs/wheelchair-users
3Sisters
@DaranddelCarnival Cruise Line offers really great accessibility services. https://www.carnival.com/about-carnival/special-needs I would check out this link. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing cruise!
Kendall James-Vargas
@DaranddelI haven't heard of a specialty elevator for scooters, but I'm sure the ship's main elevators will be more than accommodating to fit two scooters at a time. @DeanneBThat's a great resource! I didn't know they had a specifically designed elevator. I wonder if they would allow strollers in this elevator. Usually when I cruise, I try to opt out of strollers. Getting them through the narrow hallways can be tedious.

If I could find one large enough and my wife would agree to push me, I would NOT opt out of a stroller!
Kendall James-Vargas
@FJB That's too funny. My husband and I have carried our children in the stroller, up the stairs one too many times. Sometimes the elevators take forever, and we get impatient. It's a great way to burn off some of those extra calories from all of the delicious food anyways!
DeanneB
The elevators that are large enough are service elevators used mostly by the crew for larger transport. Sorry, it is not a specialty elevator for scooters. But actually, the passenger elevators are large enough for a single scooter.
3Sisters
@DeanneB That's good to know! I had no idea guests could have access to the service elevators.
