3Sisters Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Although cruise lines are changing lots of their offerings in order to financially recover post shut-down, several cruise lines are also expanding their retail offerings. The retailer Harding has just announced partnerships with 5 different cruise lines! Do you think its is a tactic to encourage guests to spend more, assisting with monetary gains? Quote
DeanneB Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 (edited) Sure definitely! I'd shop because it is duty-free. There is a duty-free allowance though, so when I go home, there generally is a dollar value of purchases that is duty-free. I think it is $1000?? I am not quite sure, so do not quote me. I will buy on sale days and after I checked the price online. I generally buy 1-2 items usually a bag or jewelry if its really on sale Edited December 18, 2022 by DeanneB Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 @3Sisters I think shopping a smart way for cruise lines to financially recover after the loss they have encountered. I'm always prone to spend more on vacation! @DeanneBDuty-free is certainly a perk of shopping onboard a cruise ship! I think if there wasn't a cap guests would buy so much more. Quote
3Sisters Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 @DeanneB What is your usual go to for duty-free shopping? I tend to spend on gifts for family members, such as their favorite liquor or some fun fashion jewelry. 1 Quote
