Kendall James-Vargas Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Carnival Cruise Line has announced its expansion of sailings from Norfolk, Virginia. I have never cruised out of Norfolk before. Has anyone cruised with Carnival from this area in the past? There must be an increased demand in that region. Since I no longer live near a Florida port, I may consider cruising from Norfolk instead. 1 Quote
3Sisters Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 @Kendall James-Vargas I also haven't cruised from Norfolk before. I think popularity of cruising from all of the U.S. in general is expanding. It is such a cost efficient and practical way to vacation. It's the only real vacation to me! 1 Quote
DeanneB Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Just glad that they are expanding the departing from lesser know ports. It is cost-efficient and good overall for the local business. 1 Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 @3Sisters Agreed, cruising is the best way to vacation! @DeanneB Local business in that area will definitely benefit from the increase of travelers to the area. I wonder if port fees for that area are lower because it's not as popular as some of the other larger U.S. ports. 1 Quote
