7 Pools?!

I'm shocked to read that Royal Caribbean's new ship, Icon of the Seas, will feature such a large amount of swimming pools. The ship will also have the biggest waterpark at sea. What have been some of the best waterparks you have experienced with Royal Caribbean and how do you think Icon of the Sea's will differ?

It looks fun for sure.  I am more concerned however about how they got the water and whether is it recycled.  I know they desalinate sea water and purify it.  50k gallons is just too much.  I hope the water is recycled.

@Kendall James-Vargas I have never been on a cruise ship with so many pools! Don't you think it is a little extensive?

@DeanneB I would certainly supposed the water is recycled. That's a great question.

@3Sisters I do think it's a bit much, but I'm assuming with the large amounts of guests onboard it could be a necessity. It can hold up to 7,600 guests!

@3Sisters Yes, its pretty amazing that the ship will offer 28 different stateroom options. I haven't been on a ship with that many cabin options before!

@Kendall James-Vargas It is really hard to find a cabin that fits more that 4 guests. I have more than 4 in my family so Icon of the Seas certainly looks like the most accommodating for my family.

@3Sisters I just found this link to some of the ship's stateroom options. It looks like the Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony Stateroom (IB) is a new style of stateroom that would be perfect for a family larger than four!

@ArveyD That's another smart way to accommodate more guests in a closer proximity! Have you stayed in an adjoining stateroom before?
