Jbachkur
From what I read, carnival cruises have you take a covid test before entering the ship, after, and in between ports What kind of tests will we be taking? The really painful one or hopefully just the one that goes an inch into your nose? If it helps, I'm fully vaccinated and will be taking a booster shot if needed before I embark in October 2022
Jody W
I have a similar question. What type of COVID test (PRC or Fast Test) must vaccinated cruisers take within 48 hours of embarkation and show a negative result for, prior to embarkation? I am assuming that the Fast Test is acceptable for between stops or other reasons. Please advise. Jody W
KeithG
We've been on a couple cruises since the restart including one this month from Galveston. You only need one test, taken within the 2 days prior. For example, if you sail on Saturday you can take the test anytime Thursday, Friday or Saturday as long as the results are back in time. We did the at home tests, took 20 minutes, very simple. I think the link is on the Carnival website under their safety protocols. The test kits are Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test. You log on to the site at the time you want to do the test and they guide you through it while monitoring through video then send you the results which you show at boarding along with your vaccine card.
