  1. In a recent Cruise Hive article by Robert McGillivray, he states that a Celebrity ship sails under a full vaccination mandate for crew and passengers but this is incorrect. Celebrity allows unvaccinated children under 12 to board despite the fact that the vaccine has been approved and distributed for over two months to children 5 and older. They do however state the following: Unvaccinated children between the ages of two and eleven years old will be required to bring a negative PCR test conducted within three days of boarding. These guests will be provided an additional COVID-19 Antigen test at the terminal prior to embarkation and on the day before disembarkation. It would be great if Cruise lines stepped up, took initiative to make every passenger be vaccinated with booster and apply the testing procedures currently used on unvaccinated passengers. While there would be a cost involved and take time, the cruise lines would save $ and time in the long run for dealing with the hundreds, if not thousands of passengers who end up sailing with positive cases. Being reactive rather than proactive and being short sighted rather than forward thinking will cost them more in the long run, for many different reasons.
