Has anyone flown into Vancouver airport a day early for cruise? How does your prepaid transport to the cruise ship work if you’re at a hotel instead of the airport?

I have been reading lately that the food on Princess has gone way down in quality. How does everyone feel about that. Planning on taking a Princess cruise to ALASKA for the first time and was told to pick Princess because it had the best food. Please respond with your opinion..Donna
