  1. I use the capital credit card for all travel charges. Then pay it off and when on vacation use it then pay it off this way everything is covered for insurance purposes and I don't have to pay interest for the charges..
  2. Not a chance! CCL is charging up the you know what to rent them. But I suppose a group of sic 20 year Olds will find the need, spend the money drink like fish and probably have to be rescued. Hate to be the one to ask the question ....Wonder how long will take for someone to drown after drinking to much and falling off into the water.
  3. @Cruising Caribbean I'm invisioning you slumped over on your poolside lounger 🤣 morning a good mocha is a nice start but I will settle for a good cup of Joe with creamer. As for coctails/ . I don't typically drink during the day like you a bottled water or perhaps a soda. Now once the sun has set little different. During shows, casino or listening to live music I will indulge in a yummy screw driver and dinner a glass of wine maybe 2 if it's good. I have been known to drink white Russians, shots of tequila aka to kill ya, or sky cosmo martini. Why not I'm on vacation and rarely drink when home. What's your go to drink(s)
  4. @Cruising Caribbean the shuttle runs multiple time from 10a to Noon I plan to catch the 1st one so i can board the ship early with any luck. not sure im going to see much in Dallas as only 3 hour layover but at least I'll have time to get some food stretch my long legs and maybe go outside for short bit. When is your next cruise? Hopefully some place new
  5. @3Sisters yes I get the same loyalty points as it based on how many days you cruise not how much you spend...thankfully!! Yep the points are growing quickly and all the extras are nice that CCL has been giving me along with stealing the cruises for cheap. Regarding the other lines yeah they will need to step up to get to try them
  6. @3Sisters the ships are actually made od resin and only about 3-4 long. Never hung them on tree. I usually do clear lights Waterford crystal ornaments adding few gold bulbs and red/gold 4-5 inch wide ribbons. have had many compliments.
  7. Finished my booking of flights and hotel... what a headache 😫 I will be flying from Sacramento to Orlando with a connection in Huston Texas on southelwest, Arriving in Orlando 7p day before cruise. The reason for that flight v others was out of Huston if my connecting flight was canceled south-west has 11 flight between that same day and next morning that could get me to Orlando at the very latest noon next day. Return flight on American at 150p to Dallas with 3 hour layover and home by 8p. Hotel is 4 miles away from Orlando Airport and free shuttle to and from airport. So I will be able to get the CCL bus to port for cheap early in a.m. Thank you all for the input.
  8. @RoadTravelled sorta... as i was reading the reviews on CCL for transportation and people said that the information wasn't accurate and had issues, thus the readily I asked about the location. I am arriving day before and hotel is only 4 miles away from airport and has transportation to and from airport. So I will be having the hotel transport me to the closest location to where the CCL Reps are but need to make sure to the exact location. Are you saying that the instructions you copies is in fact accurate? As always thanks for the help...and I've reserved Rudies table for 1 lol, yes you twisted my arm 😜
  9. @RoadTravelled ive not done the steak house for the sole reason of solo travel but i have done the bonsi cook at your table which everyone is seated around the cook top, which was fine. Question regarding the CCL Shuttle, it seems to be some confusion as to the location to meet the shuttle at the airport. Not sure when you last cruised out of MCO, but perhaps you can give some clarity to were to meet it.
  10. @Cruising Caribbean thanks for the input. What it's are close by to see other than the beach lol
  11. @RoadTravelled I'm really glad to hear that you feel that the shields are improving, thats incouraging to hear and motivates me to try and see a couple. Regarding rudies I'm pretty outgoing and do strike up.conversations easily but at.the same time it does take an interested party to remain engaged lolol from the pic it appears to be a bit formal, which I can do. Was it relaxed or more on the formal side?
  12. @Cruising Caribbean yeah CCL has been really stepping up their game for me. If I'm being honest, I was shocked when they notified me about free drinks everywhere on ship, had to re read it 3 times to make sure i wasnt missing something 🤣 my next thought was wow okay thats cool and thought how i would use it 🍷🍸🍹🥂🥤
  13. @3Sisters I saw the artical but didn't read it. I have heard some lines are doing solo balcony cabins. Can't remember who it was but saw pictures and looked/felt so cramped, and currently CCL is really stepping up for me so it's a little difficult to jump ship. I will say though at some point in near future I will try at least one cruise on several other lines to have something to compare with.
  14. @3Sisters I have seen those Lego ships but I'm going to keep with what I'm doing. The ships I've been collecting are actually Christmas tree ornaments and I remove the eyelet that holds the string. I am missing a few as I didn't start collecting right away and also the luminos didn't have them. When i go in february i will pick up a total of 4 to cover the missing ones and the current cruise. Then I will have a fleet of ships 🤣 I actually ran out of room in my cabinet and had to put a few items away and do a rotating exhibition of items, which I do twice a year 🥹
  15. @Cruising Caribbean @RoadTravelled. I was originally going to fly in same morning of cruise but after careful consideration I've opted to fly in the day before, as I will be traveling from California and no direct flights to MCO and have plane transfer etc. I did make sure flights are staying in warm weather states as I will be flying at end of February and don't want to deal with snow issues. Now on the hunt for a reasonably priced hotel possibly near hotel so I can grab the CCL shuttle to the port. Geeesh like becoming a 2nd job to figure out all the logistics 😒 Brightline train??? Hmmm maybe I should look into that then I could maybe a get a direct flight to Miami and take train to mco and catch shuttle. 🤔
  16. Does anyone know if port Canaveral has the luggage Valet service where your luggage is taken to airport for you and you don't see your bags until your final destination? Seattle Port had it and it was such a great experience.
  17. @RoadTravelled thank you for the run down on the XL class ship. Little sad to hear about the show issue. I don't normally do a lot of the shies as frankly they seem to be underwhelming and almost like a high school or college production type. I know on my latest cruise to Alaska the Luminosa had the older type curved bench seating which was nice however the cast during the Rock show seemed to be yelling/screaming verses singing as they didn't have the voices to perform/carry the roles. I can't hold a tune to save my life and shows I've thought where good I've heard others say other wise, so for me to recognize the problem and not enjoy it really says something. In fact I left midway through, yes it was that bad. With that said I love the show on the Panorama called the celestial on final might. Truly great show something I might pay to see elsewhere. I have heard that the shows on the newer and larger ships are suppose to be so much better and was looking forward to seeing some. I might have to try and go early to get good seating. Thank you for the tip about Rudis, it sounds fabulous and white table cloths are a nice touch. The one problem I could see for myself is I'm traveling solo and frankly it's not so great to sit by yourself during dining. Not sure if they place multiple groups at one table, which would be great for me. I'm anticipating that regardless of a few potential pit falls I will enjoy the ship and all its grandeur
  18. I'm wondering if any one can tell me what the earliest flight departing Orlando Intl after cruise might be. I know it's about 45 minute ride to airport from pier. I donhave TSA Pre Check which makes things faster but not sure how much of a monster Orlando Intl is and what's realistic departing flight time would be. According to CCL the Mardi Gras arrives back in port Canaveral at 7 a.m. on a Saturday.

  20. @Kendall James-Vargas it's top secret and being ex military with a clearance im pretty good about keeping secrets. With that said if you private message me im might sare some insight...key word might...lol. But your right that CCL has been treating me very very very well. as for your friends i would love to hear if they have any info to share.
  21. Unlimited photos huh? Well I've been traveling solo for a bit ... nope Mrs. Right hasn't caught my eye yet or maybe it's I haven't caught theirs, so I don't do many pics as can only see so many pictures of myself before going barf 🫢 😇😆
  22. @3Sisters glad I was able to share some valuable info regarding the credit card...now if I could get everyone to say it was me who recommended them to join I could make some money 😝 just kidding i wouldnt do that to you'al
  23. @Kendall James-Vargas interestingly the cruise in February I could not find that price anywhere but my CCL Personal Assistant was able to get it and book me on it at that rate along with the credits and free drinks everywhere on the ship. I have not been to any of the ports that I will be going to and looking forward to exploring what's to be seen. I'm happy to hear you're headed out in February as well, I'm sure you will enjoy the trip. Are you visiting any new ports?? Who knows maybe one day we will end up on the same cruise... wouldn't that be a hoot!! I could me you and the family in person. I'm sure are learning I'm pretty strategic about where and when I cruise different locations, love love love shoulder season months. If I'm being honest I wish I could be on a cruise every month or jumping from one ship to another back to back but that will need to wait until a few more years....sigh It sounds like you really like MSC or is it you've reached a good loyalty level and get nice benifits.? Yes I will be reviewing the menu and letting you all know how it is. The Mardi Gras has so many restaurants and food choices I'm not sure how many I will be able to sample in 7 days but I will try my best to be an over achiever 🤪
  24. I will add that the Mardi Gras is a massive ship and do have my concerns if I will be able to explore it in it's entirety and walking from bow to stern I might need an electric scooter so not to be totally worn out 🤣
